This game is better than anything i'v ever seen. Ill get both Resistacne 2 and Killzone 2 but i think Killzone 2 will be better.

Best overall lighting system. Fabulous. They've cranked up the textures as well. For me however, this game would be really boring because shooters don't appeal to me. I would only play it to see the graphics.

believe that this is going to be a good game. Maybe its just because I have only seen the same level over and over that I am skepical.

You guys have to be joking me... these scans look god awful. The texture are horrid and wasted out. I don't even think they have AA on, the jaggies are everywhere. I don't even think Wii games have this many jaggies.

The good thing is that they have a fair amount of time to fix these glaring issues and improve the graphics, or this title will end up looking like a PS2 game.

Not every game is gonna break the "just another Shooter" mold, not that they have to, to be good. I wanna see and learn more about multi-player and all that jazz

That seems like a waste, looking at those screens granted the models are very nice, but the environment and tanks? not so much!

I don't see it, I don't see what you guys see I guess, to me this looks like another mediocre FPS in the over crowded console space of FPS games, the graphics are nice but will probably be surpassed by the time it releases, and what is going to make this game Epic?

That word gets tossed around alot when it in fact shouldn't be, and in this case it shouldn't be tossed, I mean I saw alot of you hyping Haze the same way and look what happened, it seems like you all jump from ship to ship hoping to god you are backing something worth a damn, well, I hope your ship has finally come in man because this is without a doubt the most hyped PS3 game since the beginning and if it doesn't deliver the goods............ holy ....... I can't imagine what will happen next.

I hope it's as good as you all hope, for your sakes, me personally couldn't care less about this game because it isn't doing anything new, but I am interested to see if it lives up to the hype you all are giving it.

I'm actually looking forward to this one and think that Sony is going to show all kinds of info on it at E3. I love the cover system in it and hope that other shooters add this neat type of cover feature. Maybe we might even get some multiplayer next week.

SO DROOLING FOR THIS GAME. I try not to think about killzone though and ima try to keep it out of my head until january. I still have not seen anything more stunning then killzone2.

Also to you haters saying its just going to be another shooter with just better graphcis. KZ invented the wheel with the cover system, and looking at the crzy physics in this game with hit reaction and the explosions etc. I have not see anything better. All I really ask for Sony is good online support. They give it good online support KZ will go extremely far.

Those Scans were clearly streched to be enlarged because the actual pictures themselves in the EGM magazine are smaller because I have the magazine.

That picture with the Tank and rocket launcher is just about 4" x 5" in the magazine, but it was enlarged significantly.

Any image that is blown up to be enlarged obviously will have jagged edges. It's not like these screenshots were released from Guerrilla games in HD, they are just magazine scans.

LOL at the 360 fans making fun of these scans; that have some strange compression ontop of them being scans. This game looks way better than these scans. I do not agree with the fanatics that claim this game is the 2nd coming of Christ though.

The killzone 2 gameplay videos look incredible, as everybody knows. But now that I've played MGS4, the human faces in the killzone 2 cutscene don't look very good at all. The gameplay in killzone 2 looks better than MGS4, but the human faces just look bad compared to metal gear.

...This game has badassery written all over it. I can see Sony marketing this game and Resistance 2 like crazy. I read the preview of Resistance 2 in the latest Gamepro magazine and I am overly impressed by the way these games are coming along. I still can't get over that 300ft monster.

out the latest trailer from that Sony show in Germany last month. It's on PSN in High Definition not the Standard Definition videos that everyone was drooling over. HDMI don't lie folks the game lacks textures. They have til Feb. 09 hope it looks better by then.

The first KILLZONE was a good game. I liked it more than HALO. Its just my stupid opinion I know, but I liked it more. The atmosphere of the first game was amazing. The good thing about KZ2 is that it mantains that atmosphere. From the video on the PSN the Guerrilla team need to work in the explosions. Whats that?? a ball of fire that last 2 seconds?? Come on guys!!! WORK ON THAT!!.

I cant deny that Im a big KZ fan. Im waiting patiently to the game to arrive, but as much as I love the franchise I dont expect thet the Review average rise avobe the 90's. I espect an 80 or 85 overall for this game. Remember guys the first one averaged (I believe) around the 75...and remember that the press is going to kill KZ2. They always found something... Killzone 2 is gonna pwn anything out there when it comes to graphics, story, multiplayer, and game play from a 1st person shooter view.

After playing Unreal Tournament 3 and looking at Gears of War 2 it really don't see that much difference.
Gears of War 2 is basically Unreal Tournament 3 put into a 3rd person view with different aliens if not Necris then Locust.
Armor from both games looks exactly the same.
Guns very similiar only in Gears 2 you have a chainsaw gun.
Graphics a tad better on Gears 2 but still very similiar.
Game play well UT3 is 1st person and Gears 2 is 3rd person.
Gears 2 is a lot bloodier then UT3.
Hell even the main characters for both games Reaper and Phoenix look and sound the same the only difference is Phoenix has scars on his face and Reaper has tattoos to replace those scars.
I don't mean to hate on Gears fans but am I the only way who notices these differences side by side.

Anyone see the HD trailer for it? The gun reloading looks AMAZING,it's like your actually there..reloading an actual gun.
Some of the best graphics i've ever seen.

The explosions look awesome,The enemies look Badass.The enviroments look gritty and realistic.

What i like the most is how the AI reacts to specific shots taken,and from what i saw no enemy fell down the same way.

Also,I love the blood squirting from gunshot wounds.
This game is gonna be fun.

What confuses me here is all those who say "it's just another FPS" yet they go back to their Xbox's and play gears of war.

What is the difference between Gears' and Killzone ??

Sony really does need another mainline shooter franchise. They pretty much gave up after the PS3 generation, and I'm really surprised they haven't tried at another high-profile, singleplayer-centric shooter; even if it weren't Killzone or Resistance.

I miss Killzone while I can see why they still do Horizon has some really good things but I do think that Horizon is overrated imo.

Or how about studios focus on projects that they feel passionate about, and not be forced to make something they have little interest in. It shows in the final product.

It’s still got potential for the modern era. The DNA is all there. The install base is there. The interest is there. The time is now.

I’m beating a dead horse here… but Resisitance FOM gun lay out was so fun, multiplayer was one of my top favorite experiences. Insomniac nailed it and I would love a remaster and maybe a redo with Reisistance 2. They listens to players who were wanting a Halo killer and it kind of lost its character from the first.

Warhawk, if they had just remade the first one not Starhawk which offered nice things like the build and battle.. but Warhawk was the best arcade shooter I ever played. Back when you didn’t have battle passes and you actually had to get certain amount of kills or ribbons to unlock different paint skins on the Warhawks and armor for your player.. Look at the success of Helldivers 2, it’s a fun game and it reminds me of Warhawk in a way. I’ve been wanting a remake or sequel since the beginning of the ps4 gen.. it’s hurts to have hope nowadays. Even with the demise of the studios Sony has a steady fan base.

Killzone game after Killzone 2 play style would be nice

Sorry bud, but the PS3 generation was amazing and featured the greatest console comeback in history.

That said, I'd love it if Warhawk returned or Metal Gear Solid 4. It needs to not be shackled to the PS3 generation anymore. A Killzone 2 remake would be insane with modern graphics and that art direction.

I really miss this gen of gaming. It felt like the last truly "great" era for videogames before the modern approach really took hold.

The PS3 was such a glorious console. The UI, the games, the free online...just incredible.

I would pay good money for a Warhawk remake. Socom too. The last Socom game just didn’t do it justice. Folklore could use a remaster or remake as well.
Several other titles I would like to remade with the amount of visual fidelity the current gen has over the past consoles it could help articulate the games that we’ve loved growing up. I would love even some ps2 titles to remade.. Dark Cloud from ps2, Legacy of Kain series but don’t know what will come of it sense it was bought by Embracer group and all there layoffs.

This strategy is exactly what helped ruin Xbox. Sony more than Microsoft know when to let a franchise go and that is important to keep things fresh. The old games are there if you want to play them.

Resistance series and Killzone 2 & 3 remasters/remakes. Make it happen. They will print money.

FF13 is top of this list for me. No matter your opinion on it, it being the only numbered offline FF out of all 16 not to be on new consoles is odd. GTA IV would be great too

The only reason my PS3 is still connected is because of the Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm games that I still love to play. I am for remaking or remastering them.

I was never a huge fan of Killzone, but thoroughly enjoy Horizon. Guerrilla are superb developer and easily up there with the best of the best.

Need a killzone 2 remake from the ground up.

Great studio, loved the Killzone series, I wish they would do a remake of the first three games. Horizon is a real step up and truly put Guerrilla Games on the map.

Too bad I never got a chance to play Shellshock: Nam’67 would have loved to try that game out back in the days to see what were their beginnings.

Bring back killzone (maybe in 3rd person perspective)

It would fantastic to see what they could do in Killzone after the lessons learned through Horizon.

Or heck, give us even a short linear FPS from the people who designed Cauldron THETA in the Burning Shores expansion. Even just flying into it (after gliding around and finding its opening amongst the lava and Sunwings perched around it, with other bigger machines just along the path toward it) was an incredible experience.

Forbidden West is awesome, It’s pretty damn big compared to Zero Dawn and it takes a little while to get your skills up and get the equipment you need to fully explore the game (not going to spoil it) but once you do those things and start fighting the big ass machines it really is amazing. Some cool side quests to where you hold the fate of peoples lives by your choice and the cauldrons look amazing. Lots of skills , combos, special moves and add ons for your weapons so you can approach fights many ways. Looking forward to the name game but I wonder how/if Silas will be a part of it or not ? Sad he’s gone.

I'm hyped for whenever Horizon 3 releases but Killzone 1 needs a remake BAD and 2 & 3 need remasters. Criminal those games are stuck on PS3.
