why? if done right it could be good.

these things are never done right.

"if" and "could"

Most likely never will be done right.

I would love to see a Zelda movie though, not animated, real life. Would be really cool.

if you've watched Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist or Mortal Kombat: Legacy (especially the Scorpion/Sub Zero backstory episodes), you can see what happens when video game source material is done right.

honestly, if you consider Assassin's Fist a movie (and it pretty much is, just cut up into episodes), then it's by far the best video game movie ever made. it's fantastic, and i urge anyone here to watch it, even if you don't play SF and know nothing about it.

if someone who genuinely loves the Zelda material and has a respectable budget gets hold of it, then magic can happen. you just need people who can see the vision that the lore is trying to convey and bring it to life. and it has to be deeper than just set pieces, fan service and action sequences.

Let's wait until we find out who is writing/directing it before we set the building on fire, shall we?

With how TV has treated Zelda in the past you know they won't respect the source material.

I'm scared the most though that it could end up being really average yet because it's Zelda it will get multiple series when they could be spending that money on something else.

However if they pull it off then they could adapt each game into a series.

1st series Own story - Set world/characters up
2nd series Ocarina of time
3rd series Majoras Mask

They could use Skywards Sword for flashbacks to see how the curse began, maybe even some flashbacks back to Hylia's Chosen Hero, the person who would end up being reincarnated as Link.

With the lore that Zelda has it could be as epic as The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

Foraoise4125d ago

Please YES. ONLY IF IT'S CHEESY.. I never got to see Link get his kiss :/

If they try to make it a real action cartoon thing, I feel like it'd be stupid or childish like Sonic X.

Apex134125d ago

We have come along way since the 80s. If done right this could be massive.

Dude, if there's one company that can do the games justice it's Netflix. They make superb shows with high quality writing.

Excuuuuuuuse me Princess.

They have to have that in there.

Summons754125d ago (Edited 4125d ago )

On one hand it could be done if animated and heavily observed by Aonuma and Nintendo like they did with Hyrule Warriors, on the other hand NO simple reason the previous Zelda cartoon *throws up a little*, also if it was live action I don't think it would be very good because I don't think anyone would be a good Link.

Though maybe if they did it like Game of Thrones and follow different characters and what they do while Link is off in a dungeon (Zelda training to be Shiek in 7 years or Ganondorf pretending to be good and talk his way into the royal castle before betraying the King )and only have Link show up but never show his face (from the back or silhouette as the doors of time open to reveal the MasterSword) or never show him but bring up his progress through speech and visuals (like Death Mountain about to erupt then going dormant as Link defeats Volvagia) it could be interesting.

This is good to hear (assuming it turn). Netflix series for the most part of been decent to great. I personally would like to see a dark semi-mature Metroid series.

You are an utter imbecile. You don't read much aside from the internet, do you? Pick up a book or, for that matter, a dictionary once in a while. Honestly, your spelling and grammatical ignorance is just depressing. I bet you went to public schools your whole life and dropped out somewhere around the age of 16. You're hopeless. Good luck in life, kid. You're going to need it.

I type quickly and often forget to look over my writing before posting. Most people don't seem to care that much about my spelling mistakes. Also after a certain amount of time comments can't be edited. Therefore I often can't correct spelling mistakes made in earlier posts .

FYI I am not 16. I finished high school with most my classes being in the 80s. In addition to a High School Diploma I also have a University degree in Science. What have you accomplished in your life that grants you a superior intellectual status over others?

Goldeneye0074125d ago (Edited 4125d ago )

HAHahahaa! Who'd you get to post that reply for you, your mommy? Regardless, if you write/type like an idiot then don't get bent out of shape when someone calls you out on it. After all, you're the one presenting yourself as dunce, and you're going to be perceived as such.

Legend Of Zelda Characters With The Most Surprising Spinoff Potential

Screen Rant Writes "The Legend of Zelda has reliably starred Link in every game, but the series has introduced a lot of characters that could carry their own spinoffs. The Zelda games have surprising depth in their casts beyond the series mainstays of Link and Zelda. A new game that puts the spotlight on one of these side characters could bring some new potential to the series."

As much as I would like that knowing Nintendo they'd mess things up. I just wish they'd either put a web browser and multimedia capabilities on the Nintendo Switch or give us android.
