Ninja Gaiden Sigma is the only other game (that I know of) that doesn't support the Dualshock 3. Maybe Jericho too, but I haven't played that again to find out.

I got mine with a good discount from a friend who's an assistant manager at a store, so I can't complain about the £40 price (as I got it for just under £30). At £40, it is a bit on the pricey side, it should be closer to £30 in my opinion, but if you need a new controller, its still worth it.

Why though are some people complaining about having to sync the pad with the usb cable, you only do that once, then you never have to do it again. And second, some people are complaining about the pad not turning it self off to conserve battery power. If you press and hold the PS button, you have the option to turn off the controller, and when ever you turn off the PS3, the controller automatically turns it self off anyway, so what the problem.

At the end of the day, its nice to have the feature back, (shame legal problems caused it to not be implemented in the first place), oh well, C'est la vie.

Worth It Or Not, Im Gonna Get It, I Miss My Rumble - Wait Till My PreciouSsSs Finds Out Its Gettin A New Controller

Two reasons...

1) It rumbles. - Duh.
2) It never looses connection like the SIXAXIS did.

The BT signal in the SIXAXIS was weak while the DS3 seems to be much improved.

The DS3 has crappy support, like anything ps3... I've played a lot of the games that support the DS3 and noticed that if you are on a mounted Gun or a Gun with a lot of Ammo the rumble will stop after about 15-20 sec. .. For me every game needs the rumble feel it add so much to the Games....

If it's not worth it then people complained and moaned (in a more site friendly term) for absolutely nothing. I personally think it's great. Those who tried to use the lack of one earlier as some sort of bullet point as to why their console of choice was better probably aren't too happy about it's release. Those who complained about it not dropping in their respective region shouldn't have a reason to complain about it, and should be proving why it's worth it.

I think i would rather buy a new game imo.

It's worth the 60$ but I feel Sony should have some sort of trade it Program going, the first controller crap, and for them to say that they couldn't put both in a controller was another lie... Funny part was Modder's had this done about 1 month after the controller came out.. sony should have just said we are being Sued or we didn't want to make are own rumble ... All in all buy it

I thought rumble was last gen Sony?? Caught lying yet again, what a despicable company. Sony should be retrofitting their garbage sixaxis controllers for FREE with rumble for those who were suckered into buying a PS3.

So far so good, I hope the DS3 is built to a higher standard than the Sixaxis like these reviews say. My Sixaxis controllers are both in the same state that my PS2 controllers took 5 years worth of use to degrade to! Cheap crap!

Yes Rumble is definitely worth it. One of the features I used to miss when playing my 360 then playing the PS3.

DS3 for MGS4 is totally worth it.

its bad enough that the game are 45 but the controler as well naaaa ill pass and stick 2 just 1

I will buy a DS3 eventually, primarily as I need a second controller but also because I would like a heavier pad (the SIXAXIS feels a little too flimsy for me, seems to twist in my hands).

As for the cost, well £40 is a lot but if you price a 360 pad with a rechargeable battery or a Wiimote and Nunchuck you will also be spending close on £40. Peripherals in general are overpriced (see the 360 HDDs and wifi as prime examples); its such a shame that this generation is very much lacking in quality 3rd party alternatives unlike in past times. A pad costs pennies to make but the cost subsidises the loss that is make on consoles themselves, its a terrible catch 22 situation.

Thinking about it though, a I wonder if the high cost of pads now (I paid £20 for a DS1 10 years back) goes some way to explain why so few games feature same console multiplayer anymore, online is so much cheaper in comparison!

if you play MGS4, its a must have.

Is it worth it? Yes. I've had one for a while (Japanese import) and it's pretty sweet.

i think 50 dollars is too much. i'm fine without rumble. if they want to drop price to 30-35 bucks; then maybe......but 50 is outrageous.

but I alreayd have 2 controllers and to buy a 3rd is kind of a waste. If I could trade like 30 dollars and my sixaxis I do it. If not ima wait till 1 of my controllers break to get a DS3.

plain and simple. if you want rumble, buy it, if you dont want rumble, dont buy it, how f@cking hard is that to figure out? people try to make sh!t out of nothing.

Had to wait for the ds3 to be release before getting MGS4, which was really tough.
