Dying Light Dev: ‘We have Project Morpheus’, Experimenting with Tech

VRFocus- This week sees the release of one of the first big videogames of 2015 in Dying Light from Dead Island developer Techland. Virtual reality (VR) fans will no doubt recall when the studio announced its intentions to bring support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) to the PC version of the first-person action title. The team saw support as a ‘no-brainer’, but what about possible support for the Project Morpheus HMD for PlayStation 4? While nothing is yet announced, Techland has at least confirmed that it is ‘experimenting’ with the kit.

Good. I want to see this happen. It would be nice to see devs supporting both Oculus and Morpheus. I'm glad these guys are at least considering it.

I just have to wonder what part HoloLens will play in all of this. It's a different technology. Will multi-plat games have HoloLens support?

This is what I'm talking about. This game on VR would be awesome. This is why I'm not impressed about Microsoft's holograms because it cannot has games like this or provide the immersion that VR offers

Project Morpheus better get there act together and get the Pixel issue and FPS issue corrected. I still think AR will ad to the gaming experience. Imagine in Forza Horizon 2 while on the garage I would be able to pull my car in front of me to the do the upgrades and tunning off from the screen. How about clues and item inspection. Or how about darkening your headset to become a full VR.

I don't think HoloLens is meant to compete with Morpheus. Different peripherals, different experiences and both impressive in their own rights.

They are rather impressive though, I'm looking to get both, but I might go oculus over Morpheus depending on who can pull it off better and get more support. Dying Light would be great for either though
