New footage from Nintendo Direct 1/14/2015. Video talks about the in-game hub that connects all of the game modes together. Equipment can be purchased at the shopping center with money earned in-game through multiplayer. At the shopping center, you can buy weapons, head pieces, clothing, and shoes. This equipment can be swapped at anytime in the plaza. You select a set of three weapons at a time: main weapons, sub weapons, and special weapons. Your gear affects stats such as strength and speed.

Nintendo writes: "Join us on Oct. 23 at 6 a.m. PT for a second #KirbyAirRiders Direct with director Mr. Sakurai. The livestreamed presentation will last roughly 60 minutes and feature more info on the upcoming #NintendoSwitch2 game. "
That’s one of those titles I never really understood why people liked. I played it back on the GC and thought it was mid. Replayed it recently because of this new release, and still found it pretty mid.
But the more true exclusives the Switch 2 can get, the better. At least is something new and not re-releasing a Wii U game... again.

Insiders including NateTheHate and SwitchForce suggest that Nintendo is preparing a major Direct presentation in mid September 2025, potentially tied to Mario’s 40th anniversary.
The next Nintendo Direct presentation is allegedly scheduled to happen this month in July, 2025, after the launch of Donkey Kong Bananza.
If there is a direct this month, I doubt anything major til the September/fall time. What I want for a direct this soon in july though is to see more switch 2 updates for switch 1 games as xenoblade x and thousand year door are on my top list, fix for gamecube nso, prime 4 actual release date. I think donkey kong and more upgrades will satiate people for now.
As for future games in possibly the fall direct, anything could happen I guess. New smash, zelda, xenoblade, fire emblem, anything. Quite excited for switch 2 games, just hopefully Nintendo can deliver.
Just to let people know, the new 20.2.0 firmware release for Switch 2 has fixed more back compatibility. XCOM2 which ran notoriously badly (I was playing it yesterday wishing it would get a patch as framerate was terrible) just loaded it up to test it after installing the new firmware and it flys now. It’s so, so smooth now! Solid locked 60fps by the looks of it. It makes such a massive difference.
Only game I'm interested in for Switch 2 is Metroid Prime 4, unless there are some surprises that will be in the direct, but I will only buy used physical games, if that means less then so be it.
THIS game! THIS GAME! One of my favourites for this year. Can't wait to play it.
Surprisingly I am more and more excited about this game.
This game went from I don't give fuq, to day one purchase. LOL. Gotta love The Big N! Damn my wallet is hurting.
Looks better and better each time I see it.
I will be buying this day one for my kids. (cough) Yah, my kids. Definitely my kids. (cough) (mumble, mumble)
