Time Travelers was released on the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita in Japan two weeks ago. The 3DS version sold 9,054 copies while the PlayStation Vita version sold 9,332 copies. The PSP version, which was supposed to come out that same week, was delayed to a week later.
Have you seen the 3DS version? It may be 3D but it is a blurry piece of junk.
I think we may see alot of this in the future, When a 3DS and Vita version are released at the same time the Vita one will be the preferred version.
Well, Personally I will be getting the Vita version over the 3DS one, I'll leave my 3DS for nintendo exclusives.
Not sure what your point is is sold just over 200 more. If you only get Nintendo exclusive you'll miss out on monster hunter and resident evil and kingdom hearts.
It sold about a couple hundred more... on an estimated sales track.

But the fact that they will have shared mp games is just another disadvantage of the vita, as it is lacking in exclusive software against the 3ds by a wide margin that just keeps growing.
More people will be buying 3ds's, and going forward sales will reflect this more and more.

No. Because MP games will look more cool on Vita with more convenient two sticks controls. How is this a disadvantage? How can multiplatform game can be a disadvantage anyway, when this game is available on both platforms? Also PSV technically can handle games from 3DS, but 3DS cannot handle games from Vita.
There's very little difference in sales between the 2 platforms for this game, but its a given that a multihandheld owner will choose the Vita version over the 3DS one if they want a better experience. Best example of this is Snake eater for the 3DS which was horrible in comparison to the Vita and console versions.

actually 3ds version looks good, I know: you have seen that comparison between Vita & 3ds versions (Kotaku source), I'll tell you what: there was BS and both Vita's and 3ds screens in there were downgraded, if you want to see REAL 3ds screens of this game, search for 3D mpo screens lf this game on 3ds, they look much better than in that troll comparison that was Kotaku's posted here and game on 3ds isn't blurry and colors aren't washed
the game would had sold better on vita/psp if they released a demo on it ...
