Grim Fandango: remembering a gaming masterpiece

Read my retrospective on the eccentric gaming legend, Grim Fandango:

"On 27 January 2015, Planet Earth will bear witness to a truly magnificent event. Presidents will make speeches, Kings and Queens will bow while the rest of the world gathers in unified celebration.

Okay, admittedly none of this will probably happen. But it should. This special day is the release date of Grim Fandango: Remastered on PlayStation 4, Vita and PC. If you have not yet heard of this game you are either a 21st Century kid or a cave-dwelling hermit. Or just really old."

Why doesn't this have more attention? Its an awesome game, now all the hype goes to $#itty rehashed bull crap games. Sigh. Can't wait to play it again. Been a long time.

Wiehahn4142d ago

Do you recommend buying this game if u have never played the ORIGINAL? Or do u think it will only be good as nostalgia value for someone who has already played the original?

Wiehahn4142d ago

Yes, I highly recommend it. No nostalgia needed. This game is an absolute classic!

If you don't buy this game your soul will receive the poorest travel package for the journy to the Ninth Underworld!

MasterCornholio4142d ago

You mean getting packed in a coffin with hard packing foam?

WESKER20154142d ago

I share other peoples gripes, this game is one of the best point and click adventure games ever, it just loses out to Broken Sword 1 and 2 and Gemini Rue.

Can't wait for the HD remake on PS4, good times.

eh…Gilbert, Purcell Schaffer were the trail blazers in that crew. David, while he did do some stuff once, like a real long ass time ago is more like b-list personality that specializes in reminiscing and signing ops at a convention.
