Fallout 4 or Elder Scrolls 6 – Which One Would You Like To Be Released First?

First of all, both of these games are the property of Bethesda and the developers will not want to see these games in a direct “fight”. At the same time, each of these game series has its own loyal players, which will not ditch their favorite game for another one.

Fallout 4 in a heart beat!

(we had Skyrim, now its time for a new fallout.)

-Foxtrot4155d ago

Yeah I don't see why people can't see Fallout 4 is and should be next.

The whole reason the games feel so special when coming out is because we've waited a long time for the next game. Having Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online and then another ES game seems like it kills that special charm the games have. I'd rather they work on a new game so they can think of better ideas for the next ES game.

Please Bethesda, i just want to set my PipBoy to a radio station and wander the wasteland!

NuggetsOfGod4155d ago

I rather elder scrolls.

We have enough shooting in games every year.

I agree with FoxTrot. We've had too many Elder Scrolls games recently to justify another iteration. Plus between Skyrim and ESO, the Scrolls games are still very active.

Fallout on the other hand has died off since 3 and New Vegas, hell New Vegas effectively replaced 3 as the modding community quickly moved to the newer game. I'm using the modding community as a gauge because it gives a quick consensus to which game is seeing more activity. Even Skyrim has seen more modding activity than New Vegas because it has the newer better engine so models can have higher detail.

Also, story-wise where is there to go post-Skyrim that will make it seem like a whole new story and whole new environment? Wherever the next Elder Scrolls decides to take place, the environments will likely still be pretty much the same. Fallout on the other hand (since it is based on a 50's world of tomorrow theme) is real world locations "skinned" into that artistic world of tomorrow theme. This is easy to see in the 3 (DC) versus New Vegas (Las Vegas) locations - both locations are very different from one another to keep the environments "new" while still being similar enough to see them in the same "world".

We already had two Elder scrolls. Now it's time for the wasteland awesomeness again.

Shinuz4155d ago

We already had 2 fallout game as well.

DarkOcelet4155d ago

No we had three last gen. Oblivion, Skyrim and Online.
Fallout had 2, Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

Mr Logic4155d ago

Except ESO is not on 360/PS3 so it doesn't count as that gen.

Assassingamer1364155d ago

Actually you ignorant punks, he means the last two games to come out from Bethesda are skyrim and elder scrolls online. Fallout 3 was in 2008 and new vegas (while being good) was made by obsidian I believe.

Normally I would say Elder Scrolls, but after ESO I think I'd rather see what they do next with Fallout now.

stuna14155d ago

It's time for the next Fallout! By timeline it's already overdue.

Gatsu4155d ago

Well said, we need Fallout >:O !

wotta4155d ago

Elder Scrolls for me. There's not enough fantasy titles.

nucky644155d ago

I guess I'd say ES too - I sure hope they make the combat more intense (like demon souls intense).

witcher3 ought to keep us satisfied for a while, though.

LAWSON724155d ago

Nor post apocalyptic nuclear wastelands that are 50s themes.

Engines not the problem per say. If there is a “problem “ it lies in Bethesda’s design philosophy and direction.
