Be good and know how to dodge, that works for me.

_NotoriousJaee4149d ago

It doesn't matter when it takes 20 hit markers to kill someone since AW Matches are based off of skill putting you in lobbies across the world with 500ms Ping.

Alduin4148d ago

I have issues in some matches but not nearly as much as other people apparently. There are some games where I definitely notice some players lagging around the map getting kills easily when I can't even hit them, but other games go fine.

stuna14148d ago

Yeah, especially when you have a opponent beaded with a headshot and they turn around and kill you! To make matters worse, it's one shot to your leg.

BattleAxe4149d ago

I camp, that's how I get it done :D

Utalkin2me4148d ago

Sorry K/D means nothing in this game. I'm glad they took out being able to see other peoples KD. I have watched people go 47-3 in Kill confirmed only to get beat by 30. Your KD means nothing to me if you're losing everygame.

FullmetalRoyale4148d ago

I agree. I play kill confirmed anytime that I play it, and I'll run through a firefight to get a tag or two.

Now, don't get me wrong, I will kill a guy if I think I can. However, getting tags so my team wins is a much higher priority. Idk if I would have bought AW if not for the inclusion of KC.

It seems to be the only mode in which I can be competitive. Yessir, I'll take that third place!

Alduin4148d ago

K/D doesn't mean much but many people still cling to it. The good thing is that no one can see how crap you are like they could in Black Ops 2 or Ghosts.

Wins are more about teamwork, though, not individual skill. Sure, your team has to have some talent but, in most cases, if you go into a match with a well-coordinated team you can win quite easily simply because 98% of players are playing lone wolf and not communicating with their team in pub matches.

I noticed in CTF I had 2 flag caps and probably went 7-10 or something like that. I think I was 4th on the leaderboard at the end? How in CTF doesn't the person with the most caps top off the leaderboard? They put too much emphasis on KD, even when it's not your main focus in a certain game type.

Top tip:

1) Use the bal 27 or asm1 like 97% of other players.

bjmartynhak4148d ago

The lack of balance dictates the weapon of choise. ASM1 for me in objective game modes (and SAC3 to go bananas)

But for real, screw the K/D. I would prefer some kind of objective-based stat.

That is a shame. AW is my favourite CoD. I hope they do a sequel one day.

LordoftheCritics1131d ago

Thoroughly enjoyed AW.

Good campaign and everything.

LOGICWINS1131d ago

Same. Fantastic campaign, but I wasn't crazy about the jetpacks in multiplayer.

RaidenBlack1131d ago

I still prefer CoD based on historical settings or in near future settings(like CoD: Ghost) ... even though I liked infinite Warfare's campaign ... it was top notch

CobraKai1131d ago

I felt it was a good time to revisit WW2

porkChop1131d ago

I actually really enjoyed WWII. I never understood the hate it got.

JEECE1131d ago

A lot of people who never played a shooter prior to like 2012 get really mad about anything that isn't a modern combat game.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare remains the series' lone bright spot this gen

GR: "If one series truly defined the seventh generation of consoles it was Call of Duty. Sadly, the series has struggled to reach the same heights on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and only Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare feels like the previous era of innovation and top-notch storytelling."

I quite enjoyed it but I think black ops 3 was the high point.

Modern warfare could be if a few tweaks are made and the new maps are good.

Baza2380d ago (Edited 2380d ago )

Story wise.. black opps 3 was all over the place. Modern Warfare story is so much more cohesive and actually makes sense.

Immorals2380d ago

Black ops 3 was terrible. The story was absolutely atrocious.

Knushwood Butt2380d ago

I quit that campaign after about an hour. All I remember is some crappy robot drone combat R2D2 thing that you had to use. I didn't make it past that.

Epicor2379d ago

For me the Black Ops installations have always been the high peaks in terms of PVP mode. Black ops 3 campaign was pretty bad though. Advanced Warfare's campaign was pretty good, one of the best ones - but PVP was bad!

gamer92380d ago

LOL Advanced Warfare, too funny

Kabaneri2380d ago

The campaign was OK, but the guns sounded like cap guns and the multiplayer maps were not memorable at all.
