Star Wars: Battlefront Could Be Using Battlelog Service

Much like Battlefield 4 which is made from DICE and EA, next year’s Star Wars: Battlefront game is also set to be using the Battlelog service.

Like Mikey said, aside from being able to switch to a 3rd person view in Battlefront, both games have always been nearly identical.

The first time I played Battlefront 2 (which is the only one i've played) I thought exactly that. It was the same thing as Battlefield. So it confuses me why people seem to think this one would be different somehow or that it will be a BF reskin. I fully expect it to be a lot like Battlefield, as it pretty much always has been.

The core gameplay mechanics and physics of both games are pretty different actually (this goes a long way in determinig how the game plays and feels). Really the only similiarity is vehicles and large maps.

@Wenis- actually they both had command posts that you had to capture for spawn points and a ticket counter, and the way they handled classes was also similar. So it went a bit beyond that. Battlefront 2 added the heroes which changed things up a bit, but battlefront 1 is basically a battlefield skin

You're forgetting that the entire point of the matches was capturing command points, just like in Battlefield. Each team had a counter for the amount of troops they had left....just like in battlefield. The more control points you had control of, the faster the opponent lost their troop tickets.....you guessed it, just like in Battlefield.

So actually, the core gameplay was pretty much the same.

I kinda assumed this would happen regardless.
And I don't know about you guys, but if this does end up a Star Wars skinned bf game, with the option for 3rd person, fine by me! Lol

Fuck Battlelog, just more unnecessary bloat software EA wants to shove onto people. It's already next to useless for Battlefield. I just want to start up the game and look for servers instead of having to open up Origin, open Battlelog, then look for servers, but after downloading the latest update of course because you can't play without it.

I don't get people's beef with BattleLog. It has its quirks like any server browser, but BattleLog has matured into one of my favourite server browsers behind Source.

It's pretty handy only having to load one browser tab, go to your favourites, and within 10 seconds being queued up to join a server. Then it loads in the background and pops up as soon is its ready.

This seems way better to me than having to load the game, wait 30-60 seconds, then navigate to your favourite server.
