Same. Just started and saw this. Her ship reminds me of the ships in Resogun. I wondered if both games take place in the same universe.
It's kind of crazy that they've gone from Resogun to Returnal in just one generation. I would've never thought that they'd end up making a big budget third person shooter published by Sony.
Even crazier is that they temporarily gave up on arcade games altogether due to poor sales https://www.polygon.com/201... and then focused on a battle royale game instead for a while (Stormdivers).
Returnal is a nice way for them to retain their arcade DNA - they got to both course correct back to their old style to some extent and adapt to the market at the same time.
I liked resogun infinitely more than returnal. I hope they return to a more classic approach to games. The whole bullet hell shooter but in third person thing kind of didnt work for me with returnal. to each their own, clearly. but meh. i like their earlier work a lot more.
Too bad not enough people are buying those types of games to make it profitable for them.

Got the DC DLC, it's actually the first game I've ever bought a season pass for. Of course I would have done the same had GT6 gotten a season pass.
That Resident Evil HD remaster of the Gamecube remake is my first must-buy of 2015. I guesstimated that Capcom was going to charge no more than 20 bucks for it and I'm glad I was right.
I just don't know if it's worth pre-ordering to get that cross-buy bonus because I heard the PS3 version was only going to be 720p while the PS4 version is going to be 1080p. here's hoping that this new release will sell well enough so that Capcom will then decide to re-release Resident Evil Zero on PS4.
I have Battlefield 4 on disc already, but never play it, because I'm too lazy to swap disc, even though I also have the season pass. So, $12 for a digital copy sounds great and I can probably get my money back selling my physical copy.. maybe more.
This is one of my most anticipated days for new video games in years with the release of Sunset Overdrive DLC and Resogun on Vita. Unfortunately, Resogun Vita is completely broken at the moment. Only the title screen shows up. Very disappointing.
Alien and Metro redux best deals on there, IMO.
