To be honest, I want U4 to come out in the summer or 2016, I just don't want it rushed, not saying it will be, but I want it perfect by all means and not to feel like it had to fit into 2015.

That's one of the reasons why I love PlayStation, there's many games to play from 3rd/exclusives (depending if you're interested in them)

I know it sucks waiting for games like the next R* game or Metal gear and even uncharted. But I respect the fact that they want to make sure that they are fully satisfied with the finished product as much as they can be as perfectionist.

guyman4160d ago (Edited 4160d ago )

I get you. I feel the same way, U4 is one game i don't want rushed

I think summer 2016 is a bit of a long stretch though, i'm confident ND are making significant progress and will be ready by November 2015. However, I would not be mad at a February 2016 release date.

extermin8or4160d ago

No I think he means summer 2015 or early 2016 so that it doesn't feel like it was forced to be released in November because of xmas.

Walkingliving4160d ago

AAA exclusives don't get rushed on 2nd year, that's something that happen on the 1st year. No one knows when the game production did start.

AudioEppa4160d ago

I get you too, I just hate when there's no good shit to play in the summer time lol I loved that ND put tlou out in June of last year.

AndrewLB4160d ago

If they're seriously looking at adding new types of rendering tech and other such features, don't expect this game to be released anytime soon. Those are the types of things that cannot be added late in the game considering the final 6 months or so before going gold involves QA (quality assurance), or more specifically... thorough testing to iron out all the bugs as well as engine optimization.

Your estimate of Feb 2016 is not far fetched if what they say is true.

nveenio4160d ago

When was the last time Naughty Dog rushed a game? They haven't let me down yet. I have faith that they'll delay if needed. They have too much to lose with a stumble on U4.

DigitalRaptor4160d ago

@ AndrewLB

Nice try, but Naughty Dog have said that since they announced the 11/1/11 date for Uncharted 3 and HAD to crunch for that deadline, that they would never announce a date they could not make again.

The progress on Uncharted 4 has already been well underway for years. Since late 2011, to be precise. In terms of visual fidelity and polish, the game looks better than most next-gen games out there already released. There are bugs, but I didn't see all that many in the gameplay demonstration.

I want it to come out when its completely finished, whenever that may be.

purpleblau4160d ago

Jeez, I'm so ready for this game. Sounds better and better. Naughty God your guys are awesome!

Thatguy-3104160d ago

Well the game has been in development after Uncharted 3 which came out in 2011 so it's been a while since then. Don't think it's going to be rushed what so ever.

Their job listing looks for top of the line people, no wonder their games are of so high quality.

josephayal4160d ago

I'm a big fan of Uncharted, but I'm not too excited for Uncharted 4

Neixus4160d ago (Edited 4160d ago )

Then you're not a big fan, obviously ;p

Jokes aside, if you actually were a big fan, you would of noticed how much better the gameplay looks.

-No more bullet sponges
-Better melee
-Better shooting mechanics
-Indiana Jones rope swings.

This excites me more than the graphics, to be honest.

monkeyDzoro4160d ago

I like the "bullet sponge" thing. It makes you feel you're actually using a GUN. Know what I'm saying. Many games make NPC die in 3 or 4 bullets and it's too easy.

Utalkin2me4160d ago

@monkeyDzoro

Really depends on how it's balanced. If the enemy is a bullet sponge and so are you then you are more apt to rush or stay in the open. If you take more damage such as the enemy does then it balances well and you won't rush and use cover more.

I feel the latter is better. Cause when you move into a scene or cover you have to think a little more on how you're going to go about moving through the instance. Where as "bullet sponging" makes it a little more run and gunning. Just my preference and i am glad it is not as much bullet sponging as the previous titles.

From the article: ''We can be rest assured that Naughty Dog will be pushing their hardest to achieve maximum fidelity on PS4''.

I love all of ND games and --they all look incredible-- but aren't they using an old engine?... I know is ready/compatible with current gen but I think their game would we a lot better if they had a brand new engine built from the ground up for current gen. All I'm saying is UC4 could look EVEN better with a dedicated brand new engine.
Just my opinion though;)

ABeastNamedTariq4160d ago

Not necessarily. GOW III used SSM's PS2 engine and look how that turned out. (Hint: Beautiful.)

MAY ? UC4 will use ground breaking and best in the industry New Graphics Rendering Tech
