At this point the vast majority of videogame publishers have been tied to virtual reality (VR) technology to some degree, be it revealing VR support for one of their titles or talking about their stance of the likes of the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) on PC and Project Morpheus HMD on PlayStation 4. One company that hasn’t yet offered its thoughts towards the industry is Atari, a publisher and developer with a long and storied history within videogames. That changed this week as the company revealed that it is ‘considering’ VR support for future titles.

Kelly Bianucci will report to Atari chairman and CEO Wade Rosen in new company role.

Atari has revealed a pack of Namco classics that fans will likely love.

This looks like a fun fusion that collectors and Retro fans may enjoy.
I love how there are matching ghost colors for the controllers. I hope they add a Purple "Sue" controller for the inevitable Ms PacMan double feature cart they are working on. It would seem a crime not to.
That shit looks amazing. If I ever had a "retro room" in my house, this would be 100% needed. The best Atari 2600 design I've ever seen imo, besides the original of course lol
It looks cool, kind of ironic though considering that the port of Pacman for Atari 2600 is notoriously bad.
Man...they had a chance at one time:

so did sega:

but this time both companies would be producing software for the more current and much better tech but i cant help but think about what could have been.
Can we have a VR version of E.T. where it really feels like we are falling down all those pits?
The more support the more games the more games the better it gets.
Sony > Nintendo > PC/Valve > Sega > Atari > Microsoft :)
