Speaking to a Sony Online Entertainment representative, it didn't sound as though the company was ready to make an official announcement this weekend at the two-day PlayStation celebration, despite the speculation that arose from creative director Matt Higby's comments during the PlanetSide 2 anniversary livestream last month."

PlanetSide 2 is going to be getting its next major expansion this December. This new addition, titled “Expedition: Oshur” will be the first addition in almost seven years to bring an entirely new continent to the game.
