I know right they are like "$40 micro-transaction"...real ly?

NerdStar74163d ago

They have more expensive ones too.

Skate-AK4163d ago

There is a $99 for AC Unity.

annoyedgamer4163d ago (Edited 4163d ago )

How many companies has Ubisoft bought and shut down? How much liberal politics plague their games? Remind me about all those "homophobic oil executives" who just hate?

As bad as Ubisoft has gotten they have not surpassed EA.

AC Unity adopters are getting a free game. What are Battlefield 4 players getting? Another DLC.

Hoffmann4163d ago

Both suck and are releasing shitty games and are like the Michael Bay of video games.

Their games have big explosion but often (not always!) no substance at all.

ironfist924163d ago

Have you played ANY ubisoft game ever? Doesnt seem like it.

Yes, lets forget Valiant Hearts, I Am Alive, Rayman Origins/Legends, Child of Light, and many other great non AC titles like the Tom Clancy range or the Far Cry games.

But no, screw Ubisoft coz thats what all the cool kids are doing!

cutthroatslim4163d ago

I'm thinking that's why he included the (NOT ALWAYS!) ....just a thought..... ;-)

Hoffmann4163d ago

I play video games since the mid eighties and have around 40 Ubisoft games at home.

However, since a couple of years they are simply not the same company they were before. For gems like Rayman, Child of Light and maybe FarCry 4 this year you have the uninspired Watch_Dogs, the Assassins Creed series, terrible review embargos and their games are getting more bugs with every year it seems.

kingdomtriggers4163d ago (Edited 4163d ago )

The ubisoft of the ps2 generation and the ubisoft of today are so different to me, its crazy to think they are the same company. With their thousand man teams, a lot of their games really lack soul in my opinion.

cemelc4163d ago (Edited 4163d ago )

Holy crap this!!!!.

Their products seems like these souless structured games, is not a work of art or inspirational, its like going to mcdonalds its never great, just gets the job done.

Truly sad

I can't sit here and act like I know these workers financial situations. And I'm sure nobody wakes up WANTING to go to court. But for the sake of the industry, I wish some of these types of cases made it to trial.

Settlements allow companies to continue to do whatever abusive practices they do. While the trials (should the company lose) would actually force real changes for the better.

But again, I'm not in these workers shoes and I can understand them not wanting to risk it.
