An ex member of the crack Jedi programming troupe has revealved that member of the team were released from their contracts before the title had wrapped up. He went on to say that the current team size was insufficient to handle the remaining work.

Of course they're having development problems, they're milking it on almost everything except maybe the SNES! and who's decision was it to scrap MP from PS360 in favor of the WII, also, no PC version? is this a joke?

Still anticipating it though, but they should'a focused more on Next-Gen hardware, that way this would have released a year ago.

I agree, stick to next gen hardware. I really hope this isn't delayed any longer, and I hope the next gen versions don't suffer for the crap wii version... I've been waiting a long time for this game. Lucas is all about maximizing profits now... Not the same Lucas that made the first 3 films.

I agree with Winter47th. This will only delay the game with a cut in the development team and they are spread to thin across to many platforms and they claim PC can't handle it. If the F#@$ed up DS and PSP, and Wii can handle the game. I think the PC can as well.

Why don't they just delay it and release a PC version with Full Multiplayer in 2009 with the rest of the versions. Do it Lucasarts it will save you from the Thousands if not a couple Million of your own fans that hate you for not making a PC version of the game.

I am really hoping this game turns out, but if they are trying to cut corners then I am getting worried. We haven't had a decent star wars game in awhile. I just don't see way a company would short change such a promising title. Reviews will need to be looked at closely before I'll buy.

I'm sure if they let people go it was for a good reason. It's not like poor little Lucasarts can't afford to pay a few extra devs until September. Maybe they're ahead of schedule.

Part of this article is some quite silly comment . The star wars franchise suffered no credibility blow by getting featured in Soul calibur 4 ...

Want to know a credibility blow ? Star wars master of the Teras Kasi , one of the worst fighting game ever along Shaq fu ...

Want another ? half of the star wars video games with titles like all the star wars phantom menace titles (with the exception of star wars racer 1) ... all those mediocre snes and gameboy star wars platform/action games ... star wars yoda stories ... the other racers especially Super Bombad Racing ... Star wars Rebellion etc etc ...

Soul calibur 4 is a sequel of a proven fighting game franchise , and probably the star wars franchise's only chance to ever be featured in a good fighting game .

No wonder the cut-scene animations suck ass. They aren't even mo-capped. They look like garbage. Also, you can always tell the lip syncing is GARBAGE when the trailers always conveniently cut away just as the characters are about to talk, but not 1 second before you can see it's WAY off. I can always spot these things.

This development team is clearly having problems in more than one area.

With the idea that they are making it for every system on the market, I fear that they will have overstretched the dev teams and may have perhaps held the game back a bit too much. I hope it's not mediocre but you never know.

They have different developers for the different systems, so that won't be a problem. LucasArts themselves are only developing the 360/PS3 versions.

I've decided to go with the Wii version on this one. THey'll spend so much time getting the graphics perfect for next gen consoles the game play will be lacking just like a lot of the next gen games to come out on PS3 360. There is a a reason the highest rated game this gen was on the Wii. The Wii dev has had the graphics side done for months now, they've had way more time to tweak the game and make improvements, hence the 5 bonus stages and MP. I'm sure the 360/ps3 versions will look pretty, but even before this I wondered if they would be able to give it the proper time for the other consoles.After this I just dont see how. Of course thats only if this is true, could be total BS from a former employee who is pissed off

It's not the PS3 dumbasses it's the team.
The team is having issues not the consoles so stop Xbots with that all PS3 isn't next gen crap.
Your 360 can't even pass Uncharted yet in graphics and until you do don't talk to be about next gen games until your Microslave owners fix it.
Exactly I left you speechless can't think of a comeback I thought so.
