Videogames as a medium for storytelling have often taken cues from movies, and the clearest example of this is the use of cutscenes.
Nathan asks, should games skip cutscenes altogether?

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

I think the only game here for me is Nine Sols. Was always interested in that game.
Good month for me, I wanted that particular footy game and thought it might be due. Anyway who cares, shame about the site I'll miss the comment sections. All the best everyone.
No, but give us the option to skip the cutscenes
I hate when there's cutscenes and you can't skip 'em
With the way journalists handle Nintendo with kid gloves, and the tone of this article, I'm starting to get the feeling journalis5s, don't give a crap about story. I in many cases, cant even play through a game, without the protagonist having an atleast somewhat suffisticated Identity, and or, a reason to be playing the game, going through its journey. For instance, the witcher doesnt have thee best combat in the RPG genre(pretty darn close), but it's dialogue and story concepts, are almost movie level. The combination of its positives make it one the early 2015 games I'm most excited about.
I don't think that I'm the only one but I love cutscenes. but they should make it skippable after the first time, though.
if it not story progression dont do it. I hate seening cutscene for just characters talking. Do that it gameplay.
But for story progression cutscene is great thing.
I liked the old style of needing to sit through them the first time but having an option to skip second time around. Even just an option to pause the cutscene and skip would be nice. I love cutscenes if the story is good so I have no problem not skipping but going 2-3 times through when the second and third I want to really just play makes me want an option.
