IGN: Civilization IV: Colonization Hands-On

It's sort of hard to believe that Sid Meier's Civilization IV is almost three years old already. It just seemed yesterday that the last chapter in PC's iconic turn-based strategy franchise was released. Of course, it could be worst, you could be a Sid Meier's Colonization fan. In that case, you've been waiting 18 years for a follow-up.

Thankfully, Firaxis and 2K announced a new Colonization game, built on the Civilization IV engine, thus cursing the game with a really awkward name: Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Colonization. And IGN got their hands on it for the first time at a Microsoft Games for Windows event in San Francisco.

2K Announces Online Service Changes for Legacy Titles

2K will implement online service changes for several legacy titles, including releases for Windows PC, as a result of GameSpy Technology terminating its online service offerings for video games.

Beginning May 31, 2014, select legacy titles from the Borderlands® and Civilization® catalogs will temporarily go offline while service is transitioned to Steamworks.

Damn it I want to play Homeworld. Why hasn't Relic got it up on a digital distribution service like Steam?!
