VRFocus - Samsung's Gear VR smartphone-based virtual reality (VR) device has had a strange few months. Since its confident reveal in September 2014 the company has failed to provide a solid release date, letting the suggested mid-October 2014 window come and go without so much as an explanation of why it hadn't released. Now, nearly a month on from that window, the company has finally given Gear VR a launch date at its 2014 Samsung Developer Conference in San Francisco, USA.
Covert will debut on Oculus Go and Gear VR later this year.
