Titanfall: 8 Months After Launch

FilmGamesEtc Writes:

"So, what have you been up to for the last eight months?

If you’re like me, your wallet is still reeling from 'Broketober' as you count the days until your favorite holiday 2014 title drops. Smash Brothers, Warlords of Draenor, The Master Chief Collection, and Far Cry 4 are just a few of the many great titles that will soon be available for our consumption. (If you feel overwhelmed, that’s OK. It’s a great time to be a gamer.)

But I chose eight months for a specific reason: November 11th will mark the eight month anniversary of last year’s most anticipated title: Titanfall. You do remember that game, don’t you? It was the winner of over 60+ E3 2013 awards (including Most Anticipated), the game that shone brightly to incredible fanfare and worldwide hype. If you were a gamer, there was no way you could have missed the discussion about this game. "

One of the greatest game ever made, just behind my favourite game of all time Gears of War :) I am so glad to own a Xbox to be able to enjoy this game it won 60+ AWARDS I think that speaks for itself.

deadpools_n644209d ago

That's awesome for the awards. Unfortunately it didn't win the people. That's the bad. If they come out with a second hope they fully correct their wrongs and actually succeed. (Yes I know they succeeded in their opening week and were a hit for a short time)

I was playing this game today and M.P is alive and well. I didn't believe the amount of people playing.

New modes, new interface. If it had a single player I think it would have more umph. But nonetheless T.F is a blast online.

It definitely is alot better than call of duty, cod controls are garbage, T.F has way better controls. My op ofc.

Sadly an innovative game like Titanfall didn't receive the recognition it should have.

CoD:AW comes out with essentially the same thing and sold heads over heels more and guess what CoD:AW runs on P2P while Titanfall runs on buttery smooth dedicated servers!

Played it for 2 days on my PC and i was done and haven't touched it since.

Rimeskeem4209d ago

Destiny won more. So i guess that speaks for itself.

It doesn't look like this article links to anything.

When I learned it required Internet to be able to play any part of it that killed it for me. I don't have full time access to the Internet at the rigs so couch co-op is what we play. It sux. I was actually interested in it till that fact made light.

spicelicka4209d ago

It's a crazy fun game, i can only imagine how amazing it would've been with a campaign.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad1350d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g1349d ago (Edited 1349d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games

An ode to Titanfall: The last twitch shooter I'll probably ever enjoy

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
