Looks like this CoD is a winner!

Have not touched a cod as since mw2. I may not pick this up to many games coming out like unity and fc4

I have to ask... What is the point of the .1 in the score...

How is that .1 going to sway peoples opinions? how does it even factor... I don't see anybody going "I WOULD NEVER BUY THIS GAME EVEN IF ITS A 9!... Oh 9.1... ok ill buy it..."

I never got into the CoD series. I was about to in 2008, but I chose to buy The Orange Box, instead. Maybe if CoD was not such a yearly franchise, I would buy into it. It just that, and it's a personal preference, I kinda invest my time playing the online portion of a game for at least 2 years, and if a game is a yearly franchise, I kinda get discouraged somehow.

Well, I'm sure this game will make a lot of fans happy. Sorry for my ramblings. :)

The single player is actually good surprisingly. Not a fan of the multiplayer but the campaign delivered imo.

I thought the whole point of Gamergate was to stop this sh*t. I'm not saying the game is bad, but you've got to wonder about the integrity of these reviews when Activision flew all these reviewers out to a fancy hotel, wined and dined them and probably paid for any expenses.
I mean, give me a break. I can't trust games journalists anymore so I'm going to wait a week, see what real people think of it, and then decide if I'll buy.

Ya this is dam good. Haven't bought a COD since Black Ops and glad I took the risk.

This game is supposedly a lot better than Alien: Isolation, IGN? Honestly, with the 8s being handed out to this game everywhere, I thought IGN wouldn't have the guts to give this COD a 9.

How much bribe money did IGN receive?

I played a good 3 hours at my friends house. It was fun but still doesnt match the intense action that is battlefield franchise. Too bad they are getting lazy with the series it makes me sad.

IGN are so transparent now it's almost embarrassing.

My problem with COD has always been the spawn system... to many times I've been killed multiple times just spawning up in front of people or spawning up on front of the guy that just killed me... many friends have complained about this as well... I'm sure this will be the same problem again which is why a hesitate to by another COD game

It's still COD, so if you're a COD hater then don't expect to be swayed completely back. As an occasionally infuriated by the series semi-fan of COD, I can say after a few hours of play that it doesn't have that same feeling of constant injustice that MW3 and Ghosts left me with and the new abilities seem to work to the advantage of the real players rather than aid the spammers and dickheads. I've got to say I'm having fun with it. It's a bit BlackOps2, a bit Titanfallish and doesn't aim to the absolute worst type of player like Ghosts and MW3 did.

Very polish game but still lack destruction.

People don't seem to possess the knowledge or brain power to understand how important the Exo-suit is for this game. People are saying "it just looks like the last one with boost" that's because it is, it's not a new ip so i think it's allowed to feel the same 50% of the time or it wouldn't be a sequel. The review is fair, don't get the 100 point system but i agree with what he said.

I played the campaign on easy and finished in about 3 hours haha but had a blast until its abrupt ending. The co-op is fun and exciting and the multiplayer is "superb." it is NOT Ghosts, i repeat, NOT Ghosts.

Those Exo suits are enough to keep the franchise above water and i expect to see myself playing it daily for the time being, it's the one game i have on next gen that makes the console feel like it's mine, a bit of same old same old (with exo suits) is refreshing, ironically.

Reviewers aren't paid, the person who reviews it just liked the game, reviews are subjective but if i were to either trust Bryan Albert or N4G commenters, i'd go with Albert because he has at least a tiny bit of a clue how to review a game.

Strange, it's been a while since I've shown interest in a COD game, remember World at War? that was the last time I bought one, this is tickling my interest though.

Never been a huge Call of Duty fan but this one has piqued my interest, I do like the campaigns in the franchise, especially COD: MW2 but I bet the campaign in this one will be a blast. Can't wait to play it.

So I'm having one of my moments. I just installed the advanced warfare disc from the day zero "install disc"... So now I just don't know how to play it because I only got the install disc. Am I suppose to have another one? Help

It's hilarious to see people get all hot and bothered over this kinda stuff. 9.1, 4/5, 78... They're just numbers. If anything, it's the only part of a review that doesn't really matter. Does anyone actually read the reviews or do they just have the score dictate their thoughts?

it's definitely worth a 9.0 but could have done with more guns, ps supply crate items do they all have timer or can u keep permanent on certain items

I'm keeping Destiny and I think its cool but this game just did mostly what Destiny and a few other games did combined... So Bungie, gauntlet has been thrown down, now what???

its really good. I even enjoyed the MP as I'm pretty slow compared to these kids nowadays. I played every COD that's came out, but the last couple I only played the campaign as I just couldn't get on with the MP. But I have to say after a good 8 hours play on both MP & SP I'd say it's the best COD I've played in years. But all the anti cod killjoys are out in force all upset that it's actually NOT the same old thing. It's changed up & the maps & weapons are cool, along with the jumping & dodging, great stuff. See it's cool to hate on here. If you like a half assed game like Driveclub, with its lack of cars, lack of weather, lack of replays, pathetic online, (I could go on),your cool, but if you like a complete game that gets great reviews & is a finished product that works, your a sheep. But hey, carry on hating, it's why I come on here to get my laughs.

never purchased any COD game before, played modern warfare multiplayer for a bit but it wasn't for me, however this looks to break that streak

decent story
futuristic weapons/abilities
some thought actually went into multiplayer

Guys this game is good. Most refreshing experience since MW2 (even though blops 2 is my favorite). If you like a good shooter and your bored of ghost, Destiny, or what ever its a must buy. Sledgehammer really rejuvenated the series. I'm actually worried of Treyarch can top this because they are my favorite studio.

Glen is a great developer and head for Sledgehammer games. I'm loving the game so far and the multi player actually has an learning curve for the exo controls something I'm not used to for call of duty game.The story is epic with great graphics

game is pretty fun. I've only played online so far. I like the jumping and the punch melee is awesome. Graphics are a slight upgrade. Looks to be the same engine. Cod games are like madden games. dont expect a totally different experience or look. Its all the same but this one is definitely better than ghost so its a good thing.

why is it that when I start COD AW multiplayer, I almost always get killed instantly?? I mean, I just think this game, and many others is just to chaotic.
Take for instance Battlefield 4.. I finished that game in single player and really enjoyed it. Then i thought I was ready for a multiplayer game. i started it up and found myself on levels I had never before even seen.. everyone just running around just doing something. I really only have limited time to play games, so it seems this is just a hopeless case for me.. I mean, how is this suppose to be fun when you spawn right next to an enemy and get shot in 2 seconds?? I really miss the good old co-op games like Tom Clancys Ghost recon Advanced Warfighter 2.. boy that was fun!! everybody just going at their own pace..

Best COD game I have played in years!

I'm happy they are doing something different but that joy is more for the industry as a whole than for myself. I personally just can't get into CoD. I'm not a hater, it's not for me. But yeah, I absolutely think that series progressing is a good thing for gaming.

If only destruction could be part of the game dammit, well its a new engine maybe it will evolve into that

This is one of the few I never got to play the SP on. Redbox’d ut. Multiplayer was done if the worse I’ve ever played. Maps were bad. I’ll have to go back and at least give the story a go

It's too bad the game is impossible to find games on with Xbox One and PC. It is my favorite one this generation. I love it so much! But... no one plays it. So it makes it difficult to continue enjoying it :(

I loved the Advanced Warfare campaign, thought it was great.

Great campaign, great zombie mode, and an okay multiplayer mode. Most of the multiplayer maps looked great, but I only liked 50% of them, due to the way they tried to force verticality into the gameplay. The limited edition Advanced Warfare Xbox One was a pretty slick looking console too.

I thought the campaign was a great comeback after ghosts but the mp bored me to tears.

It was also the beginning of the end for future warfare cod games at this point I didn't want blops3 because I just spent a year running around with the exosuit I wanted something new but it began a trend aw, blops3, iw before we finally got WW2 which was actually my highlight this gen as far as cod goes.

To top it off aw locked it's zombies mode behind a paywall which I found disgusting

Negative. Advanced Warfare sucked. And what do you mean "Ghosts didn't do anything new with mp"? It did a plenty new. It introduced “special orders” and completing them during a match would sometimes completely change the terrain of the battlefield.

Really? I haven’t enjoyed a COD in a minute. Is MW good? None of my mates play it anymore

I think on an overall level sure.

Blops 3 had better MP but the campaign was messy
Modern Warfare's MP has issues as i understand it but the campaign was spectacular
IW MP was crud but i highly enjoyed the campaign
Blops 4 had great MP but no campaign
Ghosts was average in both

I think AW at the very least has a solid campaign and solid MP but it's not the best in those individual areas.

I liked Infinite Warfare much better and honestly its weird for to back to this game, I enjoyed it quite a bit back when it released but considering what we now know about Kevin Spacey (an actor who I admired greatly) I don't think I can ever play it again.

Game was terrible

Modern Warfare is the best, followed by Black Ops III. Both pale in comparison to the best of the PS3/360 era.

Game is underrated. The campaign had a lot of clever, detailed map design to flow with the abilities of the various exo suits. The characters and story were pretty good too, and I was sad the game ended so soon right when things got crazy as hell at the climax. I think a sequel would've been made if so many people didn't complain about the advanced movement that they couldn't/wouldn't adapt to.

There was nothing wrong with the campaign, it was thoroughly enjoyable. But the online is a different mess.
