Forbes: Alien: Isolation exists as both a video game based on the iconic Alien universe, and official canon taking place between Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic and James Cameron’s 1986 sequel. “Alien” and “Aliens” are tonally different films, and Alien: Isolation does a fantastic job of capturing the atmosphere of the original film. This is survival horror at its finest — it’s as much about surviving an ever-present, palpable tension as it is surviving an overpowering enemy.

My favorite Aliens game also, having the three campaigns to play was great. Scaling walls as an alien waiting to ambush anyone that came too close.

Aliens Fireteam Elite was my GotY in 2021, single player was kinda bad but playing that game 3 player with friends was so good and really challenging on higher difficulties

Alien Isolation Grand Mother VR is an all new virtual reality experience for Creative Assembly’s best ever horror game.
I played through most of the PS4 version of the game but stopped because another game came out. I bought it last year for PC with the intention of using the VR mod but haven't gotten around to setting it up. I am glad I waited.
Great game, even better in VR. A little drawn out by the end, but I hope we see CA do something a little different with the sequel.

The Alien franchise has had a long history in video games, but few games have come quite as close to being perfect as Alien: Isolation.
Yeah, it's hard for me to really say this is a horror game. It doesn't do scares like that, however the tension it creates from trying to survive is another matter completely. I've only watched the game, and even through watching I can feel an extreme sense of dread. Really have to congratulate the developers on that. They did a fantastic job with the Alien/Player dynamic.
