TeamXbox Review: Top Spin 3

Reviewed by Dale 'Legba' Nardozzi, he writes:

"2K Sports and PAM Development have been entertaining us with tennis games for over five years now. The original Top Spin was head-and-shoulders above any other video game tennis game, period. Instead of making a follow-up to Top Spin for the soon-to-be-extinct Xbox, PAM and 2K waited until the Xbox 360 to unveil Top Spin 2. TS2 ended up as a fairly competent tennis simulator, but it didn't quite deliver the punch that the original game did back in 2003."

Gameplay - 8.3
Revamped risk shots pay dividends. Revamped character movements backfire.

Graphics - 9.0
One of the better looking sports games on the market.

Audio - 7.8
A bit boring, even for a tennis game.

Longevity - 8.2
World Live play will keep the fire lit under the die-hard countrymen volley'ers.

Innovation - 8.2
Rushes the net, but hits into it on occasion.

Not really, most of those games were available on multiple platforms.

Just so happens that the PS magazine wrote the article so makes sense it would be 'Playstation's greatest games' :)

Gamepyre: Top Spin 3 Review

Gamepyre writes: "When Virtua Tennis 2009 first came out I was very excited about the game; I was so excited that I actually went and got it on release day.

Virtua Tennis 3 has been one of my favorite PSP games, and I could not wait to see what the 2009 Xbox 360 version of the game brought to the table. After playing the game, I was very disappointed in Virtua Tennis 2009; not because it was a bad game per say, but because it wasn't anything new from the previous release."
