Take-Two Interactive revealed it is pausing development on its Nintendo Switch 2 edition of "Borderlands 4" in its latest quarterly earnings.

O'Dell Harmon Jr. writes: "Before we say goodbye to 2025, let’s take a look back and see what were the most downloaded games of the year. It was a great time for sports, shooters, and some new PlayStation VR2 games. Sports favorites topped the charts in US/Canada and EU, with NBA 2K26 and EA Sports FC26, respectively.
Juggernaut GTA V found a home in the top three for both regions, with new 2025 release Battlefield 6 claiming second place in the US. Fortnite took top place for free-to-play games, and Beat Saber continues its PS VR2 success."
It’s funny to watch the only games EU and USA agree on was Minecraft and back ops 7 both regions on 6 and 7 spot respectively other than that FIFA rules EU
I would like to see a list that has both free to play and paid games together, but at least we have this.
To this day GTA5 is a top downloaded game and it makes me wonder if the industry is really ready for GTA6. I imagine almost nothing else will sell during that game's release window.

Another night of Fortnite with the boys then?
I’ve never played Fortnite GTAV or CoD BO7 but I do own GTAV for PS4/5 because I got them cheap.
i think we should either take those games out, or make a singleplayer list too ha
A comeback from what? They were dominating everyone hardware-wise last gen, and their software has been dominating everyone every gen.
I don't know what race you have to be watching for Nintendo to seem like an underdog.
@hewhowalks perhaps you are living under a rock..Sly-Lupin stated a fact ... last generation Nintendo did dominate hardware and last time I looked they were still number 1 in portable hardware (3ds) and number two in home consoles this generation ...so I agree how are they making a comeback ....people lie numbers don't .....just to refresh your memory wii and ds last generation sold over 250,000,000 millions consoles>>>>>ps 3+360+psp total...that is a fact if you don't believe me look it up ???so next time you try to call someone out know what you are talking about .....Mikelemonade ...how is that a spin when it's a fact in what he said ....take off the fanboy glasses and before you state I'm a fanboy I own all three systems ...true gamer
It's crazy to think Nintendo has been held back because their first party didn't know HD development techniques. Now that they know how to do what others have been doing for years, Nintendo's strength is evident. Not only have they made good decisions with Bayonetta 2 and Hyrule Warriors, but there are 11-12 1st party Nintendo games planned for 2015. Their games will continue to rate among the highest despite being "last gen" software.
MK8 DLC is a positive sign of things to come, Smash is gonna be awesome, and thankfully sales are improving. Nintendo has moved out of hibernation and are starting to kick-ass again, at least on the WiiU side.
I dont see Sony stopping PS3 production before 2017.
The hardware is still capable, the games are still top notch, sales are brilliant.
Making?
They've already MADE a comeback.
They're making profits again rather than losing cash left and right, and the lineup of games on their systems is steadily improving and growing even without third party multiplats backing them up.
Nintendo will be fine this gen, no matter what "place" they finish in, in the ridiculously overhyped console wars.
