Played it on Xbox One, you're really not missing much to be honest... Not a game i'll be purchasing but it was nice to try it anyway.

At least, Firmware 2.00 is a mess and Sony will launch the 2.01 sooner.

This is a real shame, I mean we can see 3 pages of posts of Sony fans upset about resolution and anything that has to compare to the Xbox. But absolutely no outrage or concern when things like this is happening in their own backyard.

Mmm so... a game that is yet to come have trouble with the new firm... but existing games go through it without problems (Destiny, NBA2K15,etc)... !? Well, I know nothing about networks so fine, I only hope that my file works when the Alpha is ready.

EDIT: Regarding all the thing I read about the 2.0, I had absolutly no problems with it, not sure what is really happening.

what resolutions are the console versions if anyone knows?

With the game being in Alpha, I assume there are constant changes and updates being made to the game code.

It's not surprising that there are a few initial problems....but at least that's what the Alpha stage is for, working out the issues.

I remember the full release of BF4 on PC, it felt like an Alpha version.

Instead, enjoy what we get to see of Evolve.....report our bugs and lets ensure this game is finely tuned come release day.

Sony needs to get on top of things. Being a college student, I do not have much time to play games (mainly only on weekends). It would be nice to get through a rough week of midterms and for once be able to play new games on the weekend (Driveclub, Evolve Alpha, ect.).

Sony is having a terrible time of it recently.

Been playing the alpha on x1 since yesterday and it's a shame ps4 owners are gonna miss out on it.

I'm curious if this has to do with Shareplay? If it was seriously not working, other games would have issues too (beyond DriveClub too) and they would know.

I think they just forgot to block Shareplay, and we will get a slight "update" to the game to block that and it will work fine.....

If the PC and PS4 Alpha don't work wonder why? Surely all three games were coded the same way on all three systems because of x86

I've had problems with 2.0 as well, starting to feel MILDLY like Apple OS update... not that bad though...

I actually call Bs on this, I highly doubt this is the reason. Aren't developers sent new firmware updates before it hits public to test and make sure bugs aren't an issue etc?

Games fun but its not for everyone. It certainly is unique, I don't think I've played anything quite like it. More then half of the match is usually spent tracking the monster. This seemed incredibly boring the first few matches I played but once I hit a group of people who were all on mics it became a hell of a lot more fun. The actual balance between all the classes is really awesome too IMO if people start to figure out how to use them i.e. trapper holds the monster in place while support uses orbital barrage, or medic uses sniper to make weak pts while assault unloads on him.

Only played with the monster for two matches but both were terrible for me. It certainly could be fun but I did not do well. Hunters kept on finding me when I was still at lvl 1 and I had to try running away like a scared little animal. Both times they got the best of me, so more practice I guess.

All in all I wouldn't call this a 60$ game. I feel that the gameplay is super interesting and unique it still can't have that much lasting appeal, a few more monsters and maps isn't going to change that. I'm glad to see developers trying new things and this certainly is new but I think I'll at least wait until the price is cut in half

We received 10 Xbox One codes and have been playing since Thursday. We applied for PlayStation 4 codes too and received only one. The game has been working ok for an Alpha on the Xbox but lately (Friday afternoon) none of us could connect. Anyone else have this too?

The delay between matches is very long - probably 10 minutes, and several screens before it starts.

Hope the PS delay is resolved soon.

Things just keep getting worse for the ps4.Plus on top of that a 1.2 billion dollar loss last quarter for the whole company

The propaganda is getting thick theses days, I guess when you're as far behind this gen as Microsoft is your last ditch effort is to try and smear the leader has bad as possible, its just sad Microsoft has had to lower themselves to such shameful tactics.

It doesn't work worth a damn on Xbox One either.

I deleted it after several failed attempts to get in a match. I have better things to do than wrestle with a broken alpha test.

I can't say I blame them for delaying it. I have played it on X1 and its a good game but the delays in matching up players is ridiculously slow.

It literally takes between 6-12 minutes per game to matchmake all the players and finally start the game, and then 30% of the time it drops you out of the session within a couple of minutes to only restart the process all over again.

I have no issues with bugs and glitches and the lack of polish on some sections as its clearly an Alpha but when a game that is purely multiplayer can't manage to get 5 people into a game without a 10 minute delay each time it becomes massively frustrating. A typical game can last between 6mins - 20 mins depending on how skillful the monster player is but to then sit and wait for almost that same length of time to matchmake up with the SAME players is far too slow. When the average game lasts about 9 mins, it is ridiculous to believe that after a 3 hour gaming session you are lucky to have had no more than 5 or 6 games in that timeframe.

They HAVE to speed up the process of getting you into a game much, much quicker or people are going to buy this game on Day 1 and sell it again out of frustration on Day 3.

If anything, this should be the main reason they should be postponing a PS4 Alpha, because if they are having the same long delays in getting a game to start on PS4 as they are on X1.... then its just going to end up alienating their entire PS4 customer base, rather than just one segment of it that are in the Alpha right now.

It IS a good game (maybe not everyone's cup of tea) but there are some major flaws with the game that have nothing to do with missing features, glitches or bugs, but down to them not having a working, stable multiplayer system that is solid enough to run what is primarily a multiplayer game! The way it feels on X1 (up to now), this game could do with every single minute between now and February to get it working properly.

First game was a disaster. Full price release with more paid DLC than actual content. They dropped support so fast too. One of the biggest let downs in modern gaming.
