GameSpy writes: "We recently had the opportunity to play through the first few levels of Legendary and although the character design certainly explores new FPS territory, the game design seems archaically linear. To be sure, the wealth of mystical creatures found in Legendary are both gruesome and well-rendered, but these are countered by fairly generic-looking soldiers fighting on two sides of a three-sided conflict. As Will Tuttle mentioned in an earlier hands-on, the story is about the conflict between two occult secret societies over whether chaos or order is the best path for society, and the result of this disagreement spills over into the real world when you "accidentally" open Pandora's Box and make this metaphysical dilemma decidedly more physical.
Coloring Inside the Lines
Although developer Spark Unlimited seems to have locked the frame-rate down at a fairly regular 30 frames per second, it's the old-school linearity that could ultimately be a bit perplexing. Legendary looks great graphically, but the level design doesn't give you much freedom to explore in its current state of development. Still, it appears that Legendary's narrow focus could be mediated with just a few slight tweaks, because there are some pretty cool things that come from that linearity."
Spiffy:
-Fantastic character models for monsters
-Nicely scripted set pieces
Iffy:
-Restrictively linear
-Friendly and hostile soldiers look pretty generic

Blair Herter announces the winner of G-Phoria '09 Game Most Deserving of a Uwe Boll Movie. Nominees include 'Golden Axe: Beast Rider', 'Castlevania Judgment', 'Legendary', 'Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayer' and 'X-Blades'.
NOTHING deserves a Uwe Boll movie. That guy is simply atrocious at everything he does. I can't believe how he can make a move so stupid, I'm not kidding I got sick after watching House of the Dead. It's like he actually wants to fail. A monkey with a camera and 10 bucks can make a better movie than this guy.
I've already seen an Onechanbara movie. Made in Japan and campy as hell but I enjoyed it thou :)
