
The ‘violence in videeogames’ debate is back.
This time a study from Ohio State University has caught people’s attention. Professor of Communication and Psychology, Brad Bushman, has suggested that those who play violent games in 3D display higher levels of anger afterwards than those who play violent games in 2D.

GTA IV turned GTA into a more grounded franchise where storytelling and immersion became just as engrossing as wrecking up open-world sandboxes.

These updates on N4G are going to ruin whats rest of this site. Unfortunate since I was one of the first members.. The site shows unsecure when i login as well.
I'm not saying that the study is correct, or incorrect, but I'm not surprised to be honest. We are in essence, 3D beings, and games being in 3D gives you a better sense of immersion than the typical 2D intake.
If the action is perceived to be more real, then we experience it on a more personal level as well. I think this in fact has the potential to rewire our brains in small ways.
I'm not sure if that's the reason, but they normally don't recommend 3D media for young children. Again, I'm not sure if there's a connection there. But those are the dots that I'm connecting at the moment when I read the article.
As a person who 3D game from time to time for me anyways it doesn't make me angrier
Studies have shown that people are more likely to be angry after standing in line at the DMV. Ban the DMV!
