The Evil Within has been given somewhat of an insane roller coaster ride since its initial announcement. The fact that that this was indeed a return to true survival horror gave fans a sunny outlook on the grim genre. Oh, and to help matters, Shinji Mikami, the creator of the Resident Evil series was the man behind all of this. I was excited, the most hardcore horror fanatics were excited, hell, even the average gamer was excited. What could possibly go wrong? Preview events, that’s what. When The Evil Within was first previewed it certainly garnered attention. Unfortunately, it was for all of the wrong reasons. Many gaming websites were down on it since its first demo and even up until release. Now, with all of this in mind, there is no doubt that my feelings towards this latest survival horror game were incredibly mixed. After hours of trudging through dark and unsettling territories, fighting even more unsettling enemies, the only thought Rob had left is thank god it’s over, and for all the wrong reasons.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
