IGN have fond memories of importing the original Bangai-O for the Nintendo 64 back in the day, so they have been pretty excited ever since Spirits was announced for DS. The Treasure-developed game is one of the most chaotic, quirky shooters around, and it looks like all of its charm and personality is being retained in the portable version. Didn't listen to the podcast. I just thought it was funny that the picture of the girl is Tootie from the Facts of Life. "2D", get it? It made me laugh, and realize how old I am that I know of such things.

I didn't like Bangai-O Spirits. its too "mission" based. I like Bangai-O on the N64. it has some sort of story on there, and it wasn't a "mission" based game. the levels had multiple sections with a boss. from what i played of the DS one, its one room most of the time, with bots to destory
This game looks intense ^^ glad there is a map creator and it's also pretty slick that you can edit the developers maps as well.
