If you're the kind of gamer who has been lucky enough to bag himself one of the new-gen consoles as well as a sweet PC gaming rig, you may be sitting with the choice of which platform to buy Far Cry 4 on. If you're also the kind of gamer who likes to flop back onto a couch and use a gamepad to play their PC games, then you would maybe want to pass up the cheaper, possibly better looking version of the game and rather get it on console, especially if your favourite control scheme wasn't fully supported such as with titles like Battlefield 4.
After an interview with a member of the Far Cry 4 developer team, Pennyworth Reviews reached out to Ubisoft to confirm whether or not their new title would offer console-like controller support for the PC version.

Ubisoft's latest Far Cry 4 update enables 60 FPS on PS5 after releasing an update earlier for Far Cry New Dawn with similar improvements.
Sony....you're really letting ubisoft out of all all companies to out class you??? Give us the bloondborne 60 fps patch....ffs
Kudos to Ubisoft for once again going back to older titles and then offering a nice upgrade for free. I know the company gets a lot of criticism, in quite a few cases understandable and justified, but in this area of contintued post-launch support for their SP games, they deserve some credit.

Update: Ubisoft has acknowledged that the Japanese version of the game, which includes regional censorship, was mistakenly released globally. The company says it has reverted these changes in the game's worldwide branch.
Ubisoft has quietly removed nudity from Far Cry 4 in a recent update, sparking speculation about Tencent’s growing influence on the publisher.
You can murder, mame, and viciously attack people, but anything that deals with showing a body in a natural state whether for titillation or narrative, is some truly terrible thing. We are so weird with our puritan thought process. Feed our bloodlust and fuel our enjoyment for entertainment of simulating acts of harm and murder, but god forbid you see digitized TnA. It will never make sense to me.
Far Cry debuted on March 23, 2004, meaning that next week, it will have been 20 years since Jack Carver first washed up on the shore of a tropical paradise teeming with hostile mercenaries.
I'd love a far cry pack with the original PC game (not the half assed port on ps360) instincts, predator even a port of far cry 2 to modern consoles back when these games had their own identity and weren't far cry 3 cut and pastel
Nice PC version it is wont be a day one for me though as I know PC games drop fast in price.
What kind of human plays Shooters on PC with Gamepad? Well, Third Person is ok. Even Alien Isolation is ok because Shooting is not that much of a big deal. On consoles it is ok and normal and plays fine. But PC Shooters should play best with mouse and keyboard.
edit:
yes, competitively it is important but when you play Crysis or even Borderlands don't you want to aim for perfect headshots and 100% control?
I'm not sure if people are trolling or being serious.
What's wrong with having options? Seriously, if you prefer playing shooters using a keyboard, do that. I do not get why you should bash people who want to use a controller.
EDIT: Beaten.
I find that there is this very strange idea going around that accuracy = enjoyment in gaming. For competitive gaming if you aren't as accurate as the guys with keyboard and mouse you will most definitely get your ass handed to you in most cases, but when it comes to running around in open worlds, playing co-op or campaign, there's nothing wrong with using the perfectly fine (and incredibly comfortable, especially when combined with a couch) control method that a controller provides.
I'm a console gamer that has delved back into the world of PC gaming again as well, and its setup in my gaming room on the TV and its really great to be able to lay back and play my PC like a console when I feel like it.
Yay for options, I say.
