PS3News writes: A lot has gone on, and nothing has gone on lately. Let's start with the nothing part first since it's shorter... we really have no monumental progress to report at the moment. Why? Simple, everything the resident PS3 Devs are working on is still a work-in-progress... when there is news we will post it.
So what is the "a lot" part that has gone on lately? Mostly stuff that may eventually lead to newsworthy progress. I myself have recently acquired nearly 1GB of new Sony goodies to play with, and I have been spending much of my freetime examining a lot of the included documentation.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
Yeah, um a little late now, isn't it? Hell, I'd be willing to bet 75% of us did upgrade our systems. Thanks for the prompts notice! As for the rest of the rest, nothing in there was important really.
PS3news&PS3hacks = biggest crap any scene I experienced ever had
PS3news apparently has lot's of official stuff, if they had coders half as good as DAX, we would already have homebrew.
PS3hacks was the site to hype those dumbsh'ts TeamICE, which, ultimately, were nothing but a waste of everyones time.
Funniest thing is, both hate each other with a passion, which already led to site-hijacking, although both are just as full of sh't as the other one.
I want to use this space to voice something most PS3 owners that know of the scene have in their heart.
@TeamICE: F*CK YOU
@the "coders"@PS3news: F*CK YOU
@PS3hacks: F*CK YOU
Instead of wasting everyones time with lies, get your asses up and work together, you stupid whiny b'tches and be at least once in your life something else than a joke to the scene.
Not for nothing but after reading this article i smell bullshyt. I just get a sense that the author is speaking out of his arse. Sigh, just like bush.
The same ones that said eight days is in full production and gonna be a PSN game...... yet a few weeks later eight days gets canned? sorry. i dont buy this... PS3News = Crap!
Has released the v1.0 SD Loader, that demonstrated the ability to play the demo of RidgeRacer, on a PS3 running debug FW right from a memory card...
