Don Mattrick is now thinking why did i left the Xbox division to join Zynga

People got their new smartphones and tablets and want to see what they can do, they download a bunch of games that look interesting and try them out. Michael Pachter notices and tells everyone mobile is going to kill consoles.

But these people realize that the touchscreen is a terrible controller for many of these games, while other games chew through their battery life like it was nothing, and the app stores are filled with crapware making the real gems get lost and the appeal wears off.

At least that's my experience

Just this month two fantastic mobile titles were released. Terra battle and fat princess. So I'd say no. I don't think it'll ever have add much investment as console/pc gamers however.

Mobile gaming, more like Mobile Distraction.

The Family Dollar of games. The lowest quality games available today, at unnecessarily high quantities. Most of these games to me are even worse than the Atari2600 shovelware. Even ET has a place in gaming industry.

Yet, the gaming media still have the nerve to declare the death of handheld consoles because of the heaping garbage dump of $2.99 you call mobile gaming. About time for a polar opposite.

The casual market is like the dog in Up. They were playing on their Wii, then a squirrel (mobile games) ran by and distracted them. It's only a matter of time until the next squirrel comes along.

I hope so.

Mobile gaming has always been dead to me.

I have an iPad and iPhone both with a combined total of 0 games.

If I game on the go I'll use my Vita or 3DS.

God, please. I would be the happiest person if this happens TODAY.

My greatest fear about gaming industry is these shitty mobile games killing quality game devs and franchises. It has already killed RTS, puzzle, hack-n-slash genre. May be once this cancer dies off, we may be able to revive them back.

Another disease that needs to eradicated is DLCs and in-app purchases. (I'm looking at you EA, Ubisoft, Activision, and worst of all - Zynga)
