The Evil Within Shinji Mikami’s new IP has payed tribute to the legendary Resident Evil in one of its early chapters. The scene is based on the scene in the original Resident Evil when you encounter your first zombie.

Capcom has launched a new website to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its long-running survival horror series, Resident Evil.

The Outerhaven writes: While I hold Bethesda's The Evil Within series as some of the best Survival Horror games available, it's clear that Bethesda has no intention of revisiting the series. While Capcom is still working on its Resident Evil series, I look back at the now-dead survival horror series from Bethesda, wondering why the series was left wide open, and yet still not revisited.
An OK horror series left behind. It had some great ideas, but it never knew how to play to its strengths. Instead, it came out like just another RE4 clone.
I would love for a third entry to come out, but it needs to learn to lean in on the psychological aspect and move away from the generic "pew pew" ideology at the center of the gameplay loop. It doesn't need to abandon it; it just needs to put it into better context, is all.
Also, try a first-person perspective instead. Too many 3rd-person games with nothing to offer but an avatar taking precious screen space. At least make it an actual option and not that janky-ass mess the second game pretended to have.

A major Resident Evil voice actor was recently asked about the rumored Resident Evil 1 Remake and allegedly dropped a major hint.
It will come. I just think it will be after code Veronica, and zero. Maybe in line with when RE 10 releases…
do we really need another remake?
the one that got re released for the ps4 and xbox looks amazing.
Part of me always wishes the "OG" Resident Evil Remake would remain the only one. Then again, can't deny the financial incentive.
That's it? I am only on chapter 2 and for sure there are at least two easter eggs in plain sight.
Edit: Does this not exist in Resident Evil?

A wild eater egg has appeared.
I've only played it for a couple of hours and the whole game feels like Resident Evil.
Western characters that feel like Japanese characters. Over the top cutscenes. Breaking stuff into dust.
No need to look for Easter Eggs when the game is pretty much a mix of Resident Evil games but with added new mechanics and better graphics.
Is this a pun? "Eater" egg
Would just like to say I'm on chapter 5 & loving this game thank God because resident evil has went wayyyy down hill.
