JBG News returns to the question of whether Resident Evil 7 will be survival horror or action horror, as the producer of Revelations 2 gives contradictory statements about Capcom's plans for the series' numbered titles.
WTMG's Leo Faria: "It’s been nearly ten years, but Resident Evil 7 hasn’t aged a day. Its brand new Switch 2 port not only showcases that its gameplay is still fresh and tense after all these years, but also showcases how well Nintendo’s portable can handle some of the more demanding games from the previous generation, with a handful of improvements to make it look as good as its current-gen counterparts. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard returns the series to its horror roots, and on the Nintendo Switch 2, you can take those frights everywhere.
Capcom is bringing both Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village to Nintendo Switch next month, and now gameplay has surfaced of both titles running on the hardware. The latest episode of Capcom TV aired this week. During the show, extensive footage of both titles was shown. This is the first time we’ve seen gameplay of the ports.

Smooth gameplay already! So excited for my Generation Pack pre-order. I already platinum RE7 on PS5, but I don't have the chance to play Village.
By the way, the RE7 and RE8 included in Generation Pack are both the Gold Editions.
They seriously need to consider their options again and look at The Evil Within and learn from Mikami . I cant believe he is not in Capcom any more .
Crapcom already said revelations is survival and ongoing, so this will be RE6 all over again, if not worse. Probably FPS. I'd still play Survivor over 6 or 7 anyday.
This series is a sinking ship and so is capcom. The RE remake is prolly be the best RE any fan can get in recent times
Capcom is trying hard to make action based zombie game like RE just to compete with COD.. It's true, I remember they stated it back in 2012 when RE6 was gaining a lot of hype.. So therefore, you guys shouldn't be surprised if RE7 will have military war, action and whatnot, instead of horror genre.
Since they put co-op in Revelations 2, Capcom already showed that they don't know what gamers want and RE7 will be terrible.
