
VRFocus - Minecraft has a long and bumpy history with virtual reality (VR) technology. Creator Markus 'Notch' Persson famously announced that he had cancelled a potential port of the popular title to the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) when it was announced that Oculus VR was to be purchased by Facebook. Since then Persson has admitted that he is 'over' the situation, but has also sold the Minecraft IP to Microsoft. It's currently not clear if the title will ever see official VR support, although a recent unofficial release may tide fans over while they wait.

Mojang has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to build the world's first Minecraft theme park in the UK.

This is very true, my nephews grew up on these two games and whenever I introduce them a AAA game whether old or new, it's like seeing an alien try to make sense of it and then quickly lose interest in it.

Gaming trends are so weird to me now. Like, I’m old school and games were consumed essentially how movies were. You play through a title and look forward to the sequel or other things that came out. Now, that is so not the norm.
