I hate this term 'gamer entitlement' If we spend our money, we are entitled to what we want. It's as simple as that. The press has gone full retard lately. Probably because they get all these games for free and don't see the issue because they don't spend their own dime.

As always, the best way to send a message is to speak with your wallet. If you disapprove of a developer or publisher's choices, then don't buy the game.

We don't have to buy things we don't feel like supporting... unlike those size XXXXL sweatpants my District Court says I have to wear if I want to ride outside rather than my beautiful floral-print muumuu.

Well I work hard for that $60 so I'm entitled to get a quality product.

How about let the game come out before casting aspersions on the devs choices ?
What if 'taking full advantage of the PS4' would mean it missing the release date ? The AC games are already on a quick dev cycle to get them out yearly, what if Ubisoft saying from the outset 'we're going to lock them both at this' was to ensure they had the time to get the rest of the game done on time ?
Or what if trying to improve one version led to other complications that they wouldn't be able to overcome in time ?

Or do people think there's just a 'max power' switch devs turn on which automatically raises a game to the systems full potential ?

I agree with the sentiment that the entitlement needs to end but that wasn't a great example to use.

The same people that gripe about AC are the same people that play the 16 bit looking indies and defend them saying they play them because they are fun. Is AC not the same thing? Please explain for I am confused.

Any article or argument that mentions the resolution and says that a game running at 900p looks just fime clearly does not understand what the out rage is about. It has little to nothing to do with the specs. It has to do with how a company is not being honest with their customers.

And then he says dont start a petition. Just sit down and shut up is his suggestion. No. Create a petition. Let them know what your views are. While there are probably too many petitions out there, allowing the people to speak up and voice their opinions is important.

I also cant stand how he said Ubisoft cleared everything up and so we should just move along. I'm just glad that the real news journalists don't roll over this easy. Because a politician or PR rep has never lied or twisted the truth on anything.

Depends, i'm all about going on a news article to find the comments happy and peaceful but i know people that are hell of a lot better off than most "gamers" and even they feel like they have an entitlement towards something too.

We are now in a society where we demand more and we live more comfortably with ulimited access to the internet so that just means people are getting smarter and a lot more narcissistic. It would have been better if Ubisoft weren't so blatant. We all still pay the same amount of money per game anyway. But, then again, if Ubisoft never commented, someone will fins the resolution and leak it to the internet anyway. People that just want a day free of controversy never win.

I don't think it's entitlement nor unreasonable to want the current TV/media standard. 1080p is not new or bleeding edge. It is unreasonable for Ubisoft to feel entitled to my money for shoveling out the same mass produced garbage every year. Ubi should work to earn my money.

What the hell is wrong with gaming news outlets? They seem to hate their audience.
It's wrong of us consumers to tell heartless corporations what we want? How dare we the consumers complain or request something more from game developers? How dare we be upset about Ubisoft shortchanging us? These media outlets are supposed to favor their audience instead of being Ubisoft's mouth peice and defender. The media should stand with us on the side of right instead of defending lazy developers.

Don't try to sell me on 900p when you should have no reason to do so. Report the facts instead of trying to mold my opinion to meet Ubisoft's bottomline.
