Cant wait for this game and please support this game Resi fans on n4g if you want any chance of re2 and re3 remakes.

Master-H4275d ago

This is hardly a remake, it's barely a remaster, still looks like a ps1/gamecube game.
And if you don't care about the graphics as you'd probably tell me, then save yourself the money and go replay whatever version you own from past gens.

Venoxn4g4275d ago

It is a remaster of a remake which was released on gamecube

Jason_Plays_PC4275d ago

I see your point but its handy to have the game with proper controller support ect.. i have to mostly play it on emulator because i dont own a gamecube anymore and having to use adapters and stuff was a pain. Also the pc version will get graphics mods and extras from the community.

Us loyal classic fans are in for a real treat!! But sadly most of these casual new school gamers will not like it cause this game has no hand holding but alas i hope this sells well then we can finally get a REmake of resident evil 2 and 3 :-)

hkgamer4275d ago

2 & 3 would probably never happen. They still have 0 to do.

If 2 does happen, I wouldn't mind 3d backgrounds with semi fixed camera angles and aiming to be over the shoulder.

jc485734275d ago

It will be great if they released some physical copy of it.

Biohazard88604275d ago

You import it man, The asia version has the english dub and text. http://www.play-asia.com/re...

jc485734275d ago

isn't the game slightly censored?

hkgamer4275d ago

"Players can also choose between the original “tank” controls and the more modern control scheme used in the current generation of Resident Evil games."

Current gen control system? So we can straffe around? Don't get it. Resident evil never allowed sidestepping so wouldn't that make it easier? ifbits talking about re4 style control then that wasbtank control aswell. Someone clarify for me please?

Venoxn4g4275d ago

No its gonna be like the player gonna walk or run to the direction analog is turned, not like in older versions you had to hold up to move to selected direction .. interesting will the aim gonna be with second analog

hkgamer4275d ago

so basically totally different to the current gen system where up is forward?

Venoxn4g4274d ago

well to some players was a pain to walk always with "up" button, it made to some confusion in controls.. but you can choose classic controls like it was before too

At first I was like, No Code Veronica on the list!? But then I seen Mainline. The list checks out, but I would personally put 2 over 4.

KwietStorm_BLM119d ago

I'll take 2 over 4 also. And even without a number, I don't see how Code Veronica, my other favorite in the franchise, isn't mainline when it's the actual sequel to RE2.

Rebel_Scum120d ago

The original RE was the best. Its not on the list which makes no sense.

The remake of it was alright but should be higher on this list.

-Foxtrot119d ago

The original RE smokes VII and Village, come on.

ivoryrolland95100d ago

i’m fine with people calling it “mainline,” but leaving out the original re1 entirely is wild, since it basically defines the whole series. i’d still put re2 over re4 for pure pacing and atmosphere, even though re4 is the more replayable game. also, the “mainline” label gets messy with code veronica since it feels more essential than some numbered entries. i swear half the time i’m reading these rankings i get derailed by random gambling tabs i opened earlier, including https://monopolybigballerli... and https://football-studio-dic... and https://red-baron.org/ which is a weird contrast to talking about survival horror.
