Richard Bailey Jr at The Koalition writes: Welcome to another episode of our Throwdown podcast. This is a show where we discuss video games, pop culture and tech in an honest and uncompromising fashion. You won’t get any bullshit here.
This week we discuss The Crew being delayed by Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed Unity ResolutionGate controversy, and news on Kingdom Hearts 3 development switching over to Unreal Engine 4. How do all of you feel about Assassin’s Creed Unity being 900p and 30fps on both the PS4 and Xbox One? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
The best way to experience a unique chapter in AC franchise history.
Give me a proper PS5 port with trophy list, Syndicate too and I'd happily buy them both again
The French Revolution waits for no one.
But now it runs at 60 FPS on PlayStation and Xbox Series X.
Rediscover Assassin’s Creed Unity in breathtaking clarity.

Just as I said on the podcast, Ubisoft handled this the wrong way and are fully to blame for not getting the game to run at 1080p. Several developers have proven they can achieve 1080p (most recently Shadow of Mordor and Forza Horizon 2 are 1080p) and therefore this is somewhat ridiculous. Of course how the game itself is all that ultimately matters but why even bring up resolution thing up in the first place? lol
My issue isn't as much the resolution, but the FPS. Resolution isn't as noticeable, since we'll all be sitting further away from our screens. But I'll be damned if we're not going to notice that the game still doesn't run at 60fps.
900p at 30fps is kind of pathethic even for xb1
