Get Even to Feature Real-World 3D Scans for Environment

VRFocus - Graphine, a Belgian graphics middleware company, has announced that Painkiller: Hell and Damnation developer, The Farm 51, has chosen the Granite SDK to power the graphics of its upcoming sci-fi thriller Get Even. Get Even will be one of the first videogames to almost exclusively use 3D scans of real-world objects and places in its game world.

If anyone would like to see what these scans yield in terms of visuals here is a tech demo by the man who is the father of this technology. Also notice this section in the tech demo shows up VERY often in all the Get Even release footage and screenshots.

That’s because it’s his favourite VR adventure games thus far, a great game always a great game regardless of age - Half life 2/ Ocarina of time - are old but still among the greatest games of all time. The irony of it is several are from last year, depending on platform, have you even played VR?
