Destructoid: Halfway into playing Alien: Isolation, I stopped to watch the first four Alien movies again. It wasn't just for research purposes, but mostly because the game had me yearning for more of the universe. Isolation has some flaws, but it's faithful to the film series, and I'd love to see a follow-up with a few extra alien evolutions.

An opinion piece on the best Alien games. From arcade Alien vs Predator action to a terrifying Xenomorph stalker, these are the best Alien video games starring Ridley Scott’s chestbursting, acid-blooded nightmare.
Aliens Fireteam Elite was my GotY in 2021, single player was kinda bad but playing that game 3 player with friends was so good and really challenging on higher difficulties
Massive shout out to Aliens Vs predator 2 (2001), a dialup lag filled fun mess in multiplayer and 3 great campaigns

Alien Isolation Grand Mother VR is an all new virtual reality experience for Creative Assembly’s best ever horror game.
I played through most of the PS4 version of the game but stopped because another game came out. I bought it last year for PC with the intention of using the VR mod but haven't gotten around to setting it up. I am glad I waited.
Great game, even better in VR. A little drawn out by the end, but I hope we see CA do something a little different with the sequel.
Sweet. I also rebought this game on Steam for the purpose of VR. I'll have to give it another shot w full immersive controls. I had only tried it out briefly before.
It's funny this was never officially released at retail as a VR game, bc it feels so perfect for it!

The Alien franchise has had a long history in video games, but few games have come quite as close to being perfect as Alien: Isolation.
very polar reviews,
will wait for pricedrop
Got the game today, played for about three hours and really enjoying it. The graphics on the PS4 version are not that great but strangely the character models are awesome.
I was very surprised to come on here and see a 5.9 from ign lol.
IGN is the Fox News of gaming.
Two sites which i use for gauging a game because i tend to agree with them after i play a game, one of them is Destructoid and another is Gametrailers, if they both say its good then ill most likely agree.
i will get it tomorrow when my friend gets it in their stores. I am sure it will turn out to be good for me as i like horror driven games and like to connect with my enemy. The alien seems to have its own personality. something that ign's reviewer has clearly missed to mention. i should say every time ryan mccaffrey reviews something at ign i dont take it seriously.
i am not always in line with what destruction has to say as an example i find their shadow of mordor review to harsh, this time i would love to agree with them.
but opinions you know... opinions.
