This is very true, my nephews grew up on these two games and whenever I introduce them a AAA game whether old or new, it's like seeing an alien try to make sense of it and then quickly lose interest in it.

Gaming trends are so weird to me now. Like, I’m old school and games were consumed essentially how movies were. You play through a title and look forward to the sequel or other things that came out. Now, that is so not the norm.

I agree for DK 64, a game so overestimated with high scores. It was worse than Mario 64, or Banjo or Conker.

What's this list? Fallout 3 is one of the best gaming experiences i have had... Minecraft is highly acclaimed... And Final fantasy???
I really liked Donkey Kong 64. I didn't even know that fans disliked it until I started venturing onto game forums. Sure, it had a lot of backtracking and wasn't as good as other platformers on the N64, but it was still a fun platformer with some amazing boss fights.
