Another day, another endless runner by Gameloft. This time, it comes in the form of Asphalt Overdrive, an 80’s styled endless racer. I know — contain your enthusiasm.

Asphalt Overdrive, the free to play racing game released not too long ago on the App Store, has received a new update today, introducing new content that expands the experience of the game.

David: The next installment in the Asphalt series of driving games has now come with Asphalt Overdrive. In this game, players must evade capture, perform stunts, and cause mayhem and destruction on the road while driving some sweet looking vehicles.

TouchArcade: I don't mind free-to-play games, inherently. What I do mind are games whose monetization schemes are tilted against the player to the point that they severely impact the gamer. Thus we have Asphalt Overdrive [Free], a lane-based runner take on the venerable Asphalt racing series that's free-to-play, but definitely pay-to-progress, which is a shame, because it's good time when it's not trying to push upgrades or throwing in annoying wait timers.
