Riot Pressing Down On Negative Players

Through their forums Riot has announced that they will be live-testing Ranked Restrictions on North American and European servers for their massively popular MOBA, League of Legends.

Ranked Restrictions is another way in which Riot will try to contain the toxic players that plague matches in LoL frequently, more so in Ranked matches. The process behind Ranked Restrictions in fairly simple; players who have been deemed having a negative attitude will have their in-game chat restricted and will be prevented from joining Ranked queues until they complete an unspecified amount of games in normal draft, maturely.

Riot assures players that the new system worked well in their PBE servers, boasting its positive effects.

Riot has not stopped there, those same players dubbed negative will also be unable to claim ranked end of season rewards such as skins and loading screen borders.

Do not fret however, if you are one of those negative nellies Riot are going to give players till the end of the season to reform their ways. So sit back, be nice and watch prepubescent players get filtered from the LoL community.

Riot Games: "After a lot of discussion and reflection, we are reducing the size of the 2XKO team.

I want you to know that decision wasn’t made lightly. As we expanded from PC to console, we saw consistent trends in how players were engaging with 2XKO. The game has resonated with a passionate core audience, but overall momentum hasn’t reached the level needed to support a team of this size long term."
