If MS helps them then 1080p guaranteed(Diablo III,Destiny).Yesterday a guy pmed me who says the consoles perform the same with the pc componenets which they supposed to be equal.

1)You cant compare pc componenets with highly customized console components.(Look at the Ryse and DR3 having trouble on the GPUs that much more powerful than XO's on the paper although there are almost no visual differences)
2)The PS4 is not the more powerful one it is just the easy peasy one.There are no %50 more shaders for GPU its the GPGPU for God's sake even Sucker Punch confirmed this but you still keep denying it.(GDDR5 and OGL based API big freight for weak CPU thats why they HAVE TO USE A GPGPU)
3)There are afew games locked at 60fps except sport games.The other games supposed to be 60fps on PS4 rarely see 60fps.KZSF is a big example of this.They used lower assets than sp to achieve locked 60fps at 720p but they couldnt.

MS created a hard architecture to beable to harnes the hardware good but it doesnt mean the XO is weak and not capable of out put the games at 1080p many games out there are good proves for this.PS3 was the more powerful one but lost almost every mp games agaist the 360 because of hard programming now the same situation goes for MS.

Plus XO supposed to be launced with DX12 which the hardware already designed to get maxed out with that API.If you look at the core of the dx12 and check the XO's hardware you can understand what I mean.It was a big mistake from MS but I can understand them as well because they are keeping those codes for the upcoming exclusive games for next year.I think the real fight will begin next year.Look at Sony didnt even touch to this holiday season...

Even Metro's dev stated this.He said"we dont know why MS didnt release the dx12 at consoles launch"

I am so over this. I own both consoles, and devs should just concentrate on making the best games each hardware will allow. End of story as far as I am concerned. If they have to run the game at 900P upscaled to get 60fps on the One, so be it, or if the consoles are not goid enough them just make tge games exclysive to the PC, and we know that aint hapoening, so devs no other options, as the PS4 and One is what we got going forward so devs will have to work with that.

One of my favorite things from these "insiders" is when a big announcement is teased by them...then the company doesn't do any such thing...and they run to the Internet claiming last minute changes!

I have however have inside info...the will be a big exclusive announced from Sony and MS at this year's VGA'S unless there are last minute changes in which case they decided to hold off until GDC and E3. /s

Microsoft need to get the xb1 slim out as soon as possible . The wii need to do the same if they want to compete this gen with the ps4 i say.

I still plan on buying COD for X1 just because I know that Xbox Live will have less hiccups than PSN. I have a PS4 (PSN name : BKaca) that I play only the exclusives for like Uncharted. But I play both multiplats and exclusives for my X1 just because I prefer Xbox Live for smooth gameplay and security. But the PS4 and X1 resolutions are too similar for me to nitpick and get eyestrain trying to notice the differences.

It would be easy to put this on the hardware but COD devs are not what I would call the best in the bizz. If they where they would be hard at work on their own IPs.

Ill be getting this on XB1 despite lower resolution. There was no significant difference from either console with Ghost. Plus most of my peeps are on XBL.

Anyway I dont play many shooters on PS. I like their action games, Last of Us, Uncharted, etc.

I've got to agree this topic is now beyond boring. The superior multiplatform release will always be on pc. I'm on Xbox one and when I buy a game I don't ask the store clerk what resolution is it native and if it beats the competition. I buy a game because of the game. You can have your higher resolution. Play Ghosts on a PS4, and check out the slow down when the action heats up. This doesn't happen on the Xbone version.

I bought my X1 and am very happy with it... The OS updates have been absolutely amazing, the new game content has been strong, and the graphical/frame rate improvements over the same game on previous gen consoles is great!

I can't say I am as happy with my PS4... The OS updates have been less than stellar, they have focused on indies/re-masters over getting new IPs going, and the graphics are the only highlight of the PS4 so far.

There seems to be a difference between PS4 and X1 fanboys... X1 fanboys seem to be very happy with their purchases and are just playing games and talking about games... PS4 fanboys seem to be insecure and needing to justify their purchase through articles like this one.

Why else do we keep seeing these articles when any objective person will just admit that PS4 has a better graphics processor than X1. We have known that since day one... But for some reason PS fanboys in the media keep on picking up this story to get cheap hits for their web sites... Rather than talking about what really matters... GAMES, GAMES, GAMES! Not COMPARISONS, COMPARISONS, COMPARISONS...

If the devs make this call I will just skip it. Don't even call yourself next-gen if you can't get to the standard resolution on every TV being sold and have to cheat by upscaling. No matter how good your upscaler is it is not native.

If all else fails and MS n Activision did not reach their goal. I will still be proud of MS for at least trying.

Well that's not surprising for X1 considering that it has weaker GPU than the PS4, Sledgehammer will definitely encounter many difficulties in pushing X1's resolution+fps to highest.

It'll get patched or fixed & later the PR will say they had no issues.

People do play the games. But its still rather pathetic that a so called next gen system can barely even do/struggles so much to do 1080p. And the PS4 is not much better either. Its seems to just be a little bit better, Sony should be right on top of it, like MS, to make sure they have the absolute best versions. These next gen systems are serious letdowns so far, and neither has any real must have next gen games yet. I really hope DC convinces me.

Resolution of consoles is VERY MUCH important! How many years have our TV sets been 1080p compatible? They have been through the vast majority of last gen! It truly should be expected that the visuals would be compatible by now... No excuse! I also don't want my PS4 to be forced to suffer parity across its games because of MS's pussified "me too" complex

As if we couldn't see this coming it was happening on launch and will continue to do so for the rest of this generation, a year not long enough, good job cos you've got about another 5-6 years minimum to get used to it unless xbox decide they need to go next gen again earlier. They couldn't get a port from xbox 360 to run at optimum performance , tomb raider definitive edition anyone, and were suprised now that the games are hopefully ramping it up a gear that xbox is gonna struggle again what a suprise, If you've been rubbing dog crap in yours eyes, it's gonna happen again and again with each new game, do we need to hear about it, no, do I care as I own a ps4... no!! The problem I have with the individuals who always argue about next gen being nothing if it can't reach 1080p and 60fps or that say why even bother purchasing new consoles if resolution and fps doesn't matter to you is that they some how believe those two factors are supposed to be what drives someone else's gaming ambition and that's sad.

A game that is a piece of crap running at 60fps, 1080p is still just a piece of crap. Each gaming generation has been better than the last and there is always a graphical and performance leap, but since the hot thing to do this console generation is to make comparisons with PC's for some oddball reason this kind of thing will likely never go away...and it doesn't help that the XBOX One is under fire all the time because it can't perform as well as the PS4.

I feel like mentioning the resolution differences etc vs each platform now is like beating a dead horse. We all know the truth so shouldn't it be time we move on? If I own a XB1 and I want to play CoD well...I don't have a choice...I've got to settle for 900p it's just that simple.

Destiny is gorgeous and somehow 1080p yet far lesser games are not. It's bizarre really. I'm sure Bungie has top tier engineers, and MS of course sent people to directly work with them to achieve it. MS needs to do that more. Titanfall being 792 with all that screen tearing is pretty inexcusable when you compare how it looks to a game like Destiny. And yes, I know Titanfall was before the SDK update and all that, but still.... Titanfall should at least be 900 or something.

Is anyone excited for this Call of Duty? To me, it looks incredible what the exo suits can do in a CoD game. I hope a lot more people buy and play this game than Ghosts on XB1... Hardly anyone plays Ghosts anymore. But I don't blame them so its to be expected

Read somewhere it may be 840p or 810p and that the 882p was incorrect. If that is true and that is why the dev said its higher than Ghosts but wouldnt say the exact rez number than that is freaking ridiculous. This game had better be at least 900p on XB1 or their being the official COD console for tournaments and that bundle they have coming out are nothing but a freaking joke. Sorry but this is just sad if it is the case. Give credit to Sony and the PS4 if they hit 1080p.

This is one of the few I never got to play the SP on. Redbox’d ut. Multiplayer was done if the worse I’ve ever played. Maps were bad. I’ll have to go back and at least give the story a go

It's too bad the game is impossible to find games on with Xbox One and PC. It is my favorite one this generation. I love it so much! But... no one plays it. So it makes it difficult to continue enjoying it :(

I loved the Advanced Warfare campaign, thought it was great.

Great campaign, great zombie mode, and an okay multiplayer mode. Most of the multiplayer maps looked great, but I only liked 50% of them, due to the way they tried to force verticality into the gameplay. The limited edition Advanced Warfare Xbox One was a pretty slick looking console too.

I thought the campaign was a great comeback after ghosts but the mp bored me to tears.

It was also the beginning of the end for future warfare cod games at this point I didn't want blops3 because I just spent a year running around with the exosuit I wanted something new but it began a trend aw, blops3, iw before we finally got WW2 which was actually my highlight this gen as far as cod goes.

To top it off aw locked it's zombies mode behind a paywall which I found disgusting

Negative. Advanced Warfare sucked. And what do you mean "Ghosts didn't do anything new with mp"? It did a plenty new. It introduced “special orders” and completing them during a match would sometimes completely change the terrain of the battlefield.

I think on an overall level sure.

Blops 3 had better MP but the campaign was messy
Modern Warfare's MP has issues as i understand it but the campaign was spectacular
IW MP was crud but i highly enjoyed the campaign
Blops 4 had great MP but no campaign
Ghosts was average in both

I think AW at the very least has a solid campaign and solid MP but it's not the best in those individual areas.

I liked Infinite Warfare much better and honestly its weird for to back to this game, I enjoyed it quite a bit back when it released but considering what we now know about Kevin Spacey (an actor who I admired greatly) I don't think I can ever play it again.

Game was terrible

Modern Warfare is the best, followed by Black Ops III. Both pale in comparison to the best of the PS3/360 era.

Game is underrated. The campaign had a lot of clever, detailed map design to flow with the abilities of the various exo suits. The characters and story were pretty good too, and I was sad the game ended so soon right when things got crazy as hell at the climax. I think a sequel would've been made if so many people didn't complain about the advanced movement that they couldn't/wouldn't adapt to.

There was nothing wrong with the campaign, it was thoroughly enjoyable. But the online is a different mess.
