WTFGamersOnly: This week, we’re focusing on Horror titles for our #ThrowbackThursday, and anyone that knows me, will know that scary and I just don’t mix. When thinking of something to write on, and wondering exactly why that is, I’ve realized that my hate for all things horror stems from the Playstation Interactive Sampler Vol.8 demo disc, released with the original Playstation, and the cinematic for the horror that is Parasite Eve, the PSX classic developed by Squaresoft (Now Square Enix).

Three indie projects influenced by Parasite Eve are in the works, and a strong reception could motivate Square Enix to bring the series back.
At this point, I would settle for them to release the first game on PSN. Such a wonderful game.
The complication is that it is a licensed property, originally a book. Square Enix have the rights to things they designed but not the overall property I believe.

GameSpew's Retro Treasures column looks at Parasite Eve, a cult classic that never quite got the mainstream appreciation it deserved.
Ahead of its time? LOL No. An amazing game? Hell yeah!
By the way, the Real Time blend with Turn based was old by that point. With the Secret of Mana and Star Ocean series coming to mind. And I'm sure there might have been others.

Square Enix suggested they might remaster more games from their storied archives—here are the classics we’d like to see get a new coat of paint.
I would definitely enjoy a Xenogears remaster. Recently finished Legend of Dragoon again (this time with platinum trophy) and would love to dive back into Xenogears with Fei and the rest of the crew.
Square Enix classics? dont they mean Squaresoft. Square Enix dont make classic games, just games with pretty graphics, no heart & soul, boring & over stuffed with woke Gen Z cockiness.
But while were on the subject i would love too see a remaster of Front Mission 3.
