Ori, Sunset, FH 2, MCC, and now D4. All of them exclusive, all of them coming in the next 3 months, and all are getting glowing previews and reviews.

Hidetaka SWERY65 Suehiro on his unique work and inspirations

Hidetaka Suehiro, also known as SWERY65, may not have many big hit games on his portfolio, but he still belongs to the important figures of the Japanese gaming scene. His work is truly unique - visually, narratively and thematically, he combines many elements with various references. The results are quite divisive, but at the same time, Swery also has a large number of fans. Spy Fiction, Deadly Premonition or D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die are familiar to everyone who likes slightly "different" games. What exactly is the source of their uniqueness? Swery revealed more about it in our interview.

Deadly Premonition really needs a full remake , I don’t think it will happen though. I’m talking much better mechanics than 2 . Good driving , combat and Bosses would make this an amazing game. The story was really good , I loved the atmosphere it was eerie . But the game itself was janky . I still enjoyed it but it could have been so much more .

Deadly Premonition Director Thinks Game Updates Should Cost Money

Hidetaka Suehiro, director of the Deadly Premonition games, asked on his Twitter as to why developers should update their games for free.

FallenAngel19841178d ago

This guy can go hell

With how many games that get released unfinished, imagine those devs then charging you with future updates

jambola1178d ago

Sounds like what fallout 76 did tbh

Chriswheeler221177d ago

I got like 100 hours into 76, havrnt paid for anything extra. Not sure what you are talking sbout

Profchaos1177d ago

@chris yeah I played quite a bit I got to level 39 I think all in all but the game was a chore to play solo so I gave up

Terry_B1178d ago

He really can go to hell. Deadly Premonition 1 on PC does not even run, and nothing was ever patched.

Anunnaki1178d ago

Exactly. The real question is why does the gaming population ever buy games at release when every single game gets post launch patches to fix bugs. Back before consoles had hard drives devs actually put effort into releasing the game in the best possible state. Now it's a given that games are released with bugs that continue to be fixed months down the line.

Jin_Sakai1177d ago

Lmao. He compares it to buying a $10 cup of coffee. If something’s wrong with the coffee then you expect to get a new one FREE.

Orchard1178d ago (Edited 1178d ago )

Yeah, no. That’s a terrible take.

If it’s quality fixes it’s because the developer did something wrong/poorly and should absolutely be free.

If it’s sizable content updates, we already have a system for paying for those - release it as DLC.

p.s. We don’t all spend $10 on coffee at Starbucks. It’s mediocre coffee and isn’t worth $1 never mind $10.

senorfartcushion1177d ago

He’s basically describing the live service model except the money that would go to updates comes from microtransactions instead of through the updates themselves

Knushwood Butt1177d ago

I actually agree with Orchard.
I never buy Starbucks either.

P_Bomb1178d ago

We already have DLC, microtransactions, battle passes and price increases. Who has money left for Starbucks, lol?

isarai1178d ago

We shouldn't need to pay for you to finish or fix your damn game. It's not our responsibility to get your product in working order. Wow f@#k off!

kenpachi1178d ago

Everyone at EA and Ubisoft eyes just rolled into money signs
