Rollin deep with dat glimmer! Lol nice work!

nX4267d ago

Actually people reached this cap in the Alpha already, I'm at 16k Glimmer as well and it's quite annoying. It's probably there to keep the economy balanced but it makes you buy random stuff just to avoid it :/

16bitNutritionist4267d ago

I can't keep hold of glimmer and I'm at level 21 lol...I jus buy too much crap I think

Mega244267d ago (Edited 4267d ago )

Glimmer isn't that important, I buy green weapons and encrypts just to keep ranking it, and get some weapon parts and plating for my other armor and weapons

christian hour4267d ago

I spend all my glimmer on the cryptarch to level him up, acording to this screen cap he's only half way through level 5 with the cryptarch, can easily spend that 25000 on more engrams to boost that level and therefore the quality of his loot :P

Mega244267d ago

Tip for people, If you hit the Glimmer cap, buy weapons and armor/ encrypt stuff from the tower, then just dismantle them for weapon parts and armor parts, that way you always have parts for upgrades, and Rank up the Cryptarch reputation.

I spend my glimmer like a mug!

Its neat especially since not everyone might have two friends playing it. Makes it more personal to go at in duos.

It's 2026 and basic match making features in MP games are still being drip fed to an audience that still gets excited over said basic feature being implemented.

Marathon hands-on preview | Notebookcheck

Almost 16,000 reviews on Steam currently has the game sitting on a very positive 90% Not sure if it has the player numbers but those who are playing seem to be enjoying themselves.

Putte72d ago

And as of now a 5.1 user score on metacritic. Really bad.

LiViNgLeGaCY72d ago

On Steam, you have to have bought the game, in order to play. On metacritic, ANYONE can review it. I'll leave it for you to decide which one matters more.

Trolls on Metacritic, must be a new thing or you were born yesterday

The game is really really bad. So generic boring and lifeless. UI is terrible. Bad and slow gameplay. Not sure who gives the go ahead for these games. Insane all that money companies just throw away for no reason. Nobody a asking for these games

LiViNgLeGaCY72d ago

You haven't played it. That much is apparent from your comment. Gameplay is FAR from slow and boring. I do agree the UI definitely needs to be re-worked. But then again, you're just repeating a complaint you're reading about, not actually experiencing.

MrNinosan72d ago

Can you show any proof you've actually played it, by sharing your PSN ID or Steam profile? Nah, guessed as much.

Gunplay is the best thing about the game. To call it bad is wrong. Just because it isn't a twitch shooter doesn't mean it's slow, not everything has to play the same. Everything else is generic I agree.

Flenter72d ago

Yes I am. But tell me ,with goty games do you play? Have you even played Marathon? If not ...S T F U!!
So sick and tired of the hate BS 🤮🤮
