I miss the good old hedgehog, so many memories on the Genesis. I think this game will determine if teh company will be named "SEGAY" or the true "SEGA"

Sonic died, as did Mario & Metro id when they went 3rd person and or fp. Sorry to say, nothing will bring these back to life unless they go back to their roots. Sometimes to be reinvented you've got to be reborn and in order for that to happen somebody has to take the chance.

There is a huge market for 2-d games still. If Nintendo would market the next mario game as a game for the fans of the series who grew up on Nes and mario, it'd be no question how successful it'd be.

Sadly, everyone in the industry is pretty stupid.

This is the Sonic that I remember so many years ago as a child. The fast paced action, the quick movements to dodge enemy attacks. Thank you.

I just have a few suggestions. Bring some of those enemies back. If Robotnick is taking part in this game, have some robots that shoot fireballs at you and with that speed dodge em. I LOVE the part where ur floating down and have to dodge the spikes. Something about it brings me back to the Special Zones in part 2. I have high hopes for this game and hope they don't try to force a ton of buttons. Sonic is the kind of game that can make due with 3 buttons max outside of the directional pad. Good luck Sega.

The footage does look awesome, though. I'm still concerned whether or not the game is going to be challenging, at all. In that vid it looked like all of the enemies were just there for filler, and were easily blown away.

I was never a big Sonic fan mostly because I never owned a Sega Genesis, but I have played the old school Sonic games before and they were pretty fun and it's interesting how the gameplay switches from 2-D to 3-D. The way the gameplay is set up in this Sonic game reminds me of Street Fighter 4.

I guess it's good to see that developers are still showing the PS2 a little love, but it sure will be a sad day in gaming for me when Sony has to pull the plug on the PS2 once that 10 year lifecycle is fulfilled....

Anyways, the gameplay looks pretty fun in this Sonic game, but it's not a game I would spend $59.99 for.

Personally I would rather prefer to see another Sonic Adventure game like the first 2 installments on the Dreamcast.

Sonic will undoubtedly look great on the Xbox 360, but I doubt the PS3 can hold the framerate necessary for a Sonic title with its lacklustre performance and inferior memory

Is the fact I didn't see the sonic build up and spin routine from back in the day. The sense of speed definitely feels like they got that back on track and the camera angles seem pretty good considering the speed.

I might actually pick this game up when it is out. Not a day one purchase but if I see it in the store when I have the money I will definitely get it.

looks awesome, heres to hoping they have a story, and a good one, and you can actually control sonic. and it has a bit more 3d than 2d. that is all.

well if the game is like that then we wont need to use the controllers because this looks like it plays solo.

Graphics look as good as the gameplay. I love the more realistic lighting approach they are using. And it moves so fast...

Gameplay looks cool but kidna reminds me of Sonic Rivals ans still, Sega has disappointed me more than once and my faith will not be restored until I play the game even though Sonic is my fave mascot.

Yea this looks really good, if you notice there were different paths he could have taken too. Reminds me of the old Skool Sonic days, yep buying first day. Just hope it doesn't come to bite me in the ass like Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)

This really looks like this could be the game to finally bring Sonic back to form. The incredible speed Sonic is known for is here in full force. The control also seems to be there as well it looked like you wouldn't be flailing around trying to control his speed. The game looks great and I can't wait to see the final product. Being a Sega fan all my life I have been waiting for Sonic's true come back and this may finally be it.

Man sonic's such a busy hedgehog. If he isn't at the olympic games he either, brawling with mario, messing with the secret rings, or in this case running threw a city at high speeds. How does he do it?
