You've obviously never seen it in motion compared to the original.
There's a difference there, and it's noticeably better on Wii U.

Not that that matters, though, since it's the gameplay that is going to be the deciding factor.
And Bay 2 delivers in every single way possible.

I see the upgrade clearly.

The backgrounds are significantly more detailed, colors are much more vibrant, the lighting is improved, and the Climax scenes are even crazier and more chaotic. And according the hands-on impressions, the framerate runs at 60fps with less drops.

Compare the airship tutorial segment in the opening of Bayonetta 2 to the one in the original. It's no contest which one looks better.

The game would look better on next-gen consoles, obviously, but the game still looks beautiful. Especially artistically.

Try viewing some of the 60FPS videos (I think they're on IGN) to get a better feel for the game in motion. The "upgraded" Bayonetta 1 looks a fair bit better than the 360/PS3 iteration, mainly due to higher resolution, faster frame rate and cleaner textures. Bayonetta 2 is a fairly significant improvement with many more visual effects, a richer colour palette and just more of everything.

It's not roughly. It's definitely a few steps above. And it looks like this game has a lot of crazy things going on screen compared to the first one.

No it doesn't. Overall GFLOPS between the PS360 and Wii U are similar, but the Wii U has a GPU anywhere from 1.5x - 2x more powerful than the PS360.

There are parts that clearly show Bayonetta 2 is overall the better looking game (mainly set pieces), but then there are parts that like right out of the PS360 with a more color, better lighting, or better textures.

Then say it doesn't have the power of a PS4 but don't try to group it with a PS3 or 360 that shows ignorance.

Yet the Switch is much more powerful than the Wii U - the platform the second game released on. So you're just being negative to be negative with that comment.
