
X-Tactics director Robert Gould tells Siliconera how Gamkin was founded and how television is influencing the studio’s development process.

Bitsummit 2015 was held in Tokyo during July 11th to 12th. The event is set for indie game developers worldwide to show their works. This year, many outstanding game studios attended the event, included Machinarium developer Amanita Design, Gamkin and so on. Ahmad Khan writes: "X-tactics, by Tokyo based Gamkin, is an "Episodic Urban Tactical RPG by veterans of Square-Enix, Capcom and SEGA. With co-op and location-based treasure hunting" according to its IndieGogo page. The creators of the project want to combine tactical gameplay from classics like Final Fantasy Tactics and Valkyrie Chronicles with the artistic style of Street Fighter to make a new breed of tactical RPG geared toward mobile platforms.
